Liverpool Street failed to reopen today due to delayed Engineering works. This was announced at the 11th hour to late for most people. Even more crazy is they have no idea when the station will reopen.
The implacation from this is they are running very late and want to avoid the embarisment but they will have to announce it at some point. I think they are just winging it and hoping for a miracle .
Quite why public transport is so abysmal at providing god accurate upto date information beats me.
The One Rail information states little more then Liverpool stereet is shut and don't travel. Really helpful I think not.

Some people have got work today so for them to be told 'don't travel', that isn't really an option.
These lot have got to get their project management up to scratch.

Well it is not One Railway that are directly at fault its Network Rail who were reporting as of late last night they were on shedule to complete on time which was clearly totaly inaccurate. Some lines now seem to be open although there is still considerable disruption Evemn worse it seems that Network Rail had no contingency plan for if the works overun. I suspect probably to save cost. To hell with the passengers no need to worry about them. Network Rail Directors should have their bonus cancelled. This does not hit the taxpayers

I heard it was due to a lack of Overhead Line engineers... I know the wires on most of the lines out of Liverpool Street (esp. the Lea Valley Lines thru Seven Sisters) need replacing... I think they are slowly replacing the OLE (Overhead Line Equipment) mostly at the weekends...

Bank Holiday Weekend, Engineering Works and yet again they've overun. This time it's the other end of the line at Shenfield which is causing just as much problems as at New Year!! Bloody Network Rail
