One thing i don't get is why is GY still Arriva Southend/Kent Thameside when it has NO commercial routes. Surely Arriva should transfer operation over to Arriva London North. Would make much more logical sense Agreed - it's only doing TfL work (as is DT now) so why not transfer operations to Arriva London and give the drivers the pay increase to reflect it.....

Would make much more logical sense Is part of Arriva Southend Ltd. Southend Ltd would probably want to keep it so they get the money from TfL otherwise they'd probably shut up shop. One rumor i heard ages ago was that if Arriva had to close down the least profitable garage, it would be Southend. Cheers PJ

Since Arriva sold it, there's been more investment than at any time under Arriva's ownership

Talking of Arriva Colchester, the wheel comes full circle as Arriva (as in the HQ) has bought the entire TGM operation up and down the country. This includes Burton Coaches, operators of Network Colchester, so Arriva is back in Colchester after only five years!

Colchester didn't think it could escape from Arriva for that long did it now? Also one of the Arriva buses running around Southend has notices inside ending "Arriva serving Colchester" . Cheers PJ

And also, Basildon Direct branded Dart 3321 has had LED Scrolls fitted...i bet passengers will still ask "is this a 5" or "does this go to Basildon" etc.
Two more Darts had LED Scrolls fitted but due to an error in programming, they've gone back to wherever fitted them to have the error corrected.
Cheers

I had wondered when LED scrolls were going to start reaching Southend Garage.

The are being fitted to two buses a night, along with CCTV and screens in the drivers cab that show whats behind the bus when it is reversing, although the reversing screens do not work because they cannot afford the wiring!
Also from what i can tell, only the SLF Dart's are getting this treatment.
Cheers
