17447 did sound rough a little while ago but the worst bus in Romford at the moment is DMC41523. Sounds absolutely terrible.
Saying that, 17154 has still got what sounds like a slipping clutch which makes the early Trident engine sound very weird lol

Some of BC Tridents make screaming sounds, some even make thudding noises. 9763 has slow acceleration when revving.

The exhaust manifold gasket needs doing. When I was at GY I had a bus one day (3218 I think) dead quiet and all that and then the next day I start it up and it sounds really off. Turned out the engine mountings were in need of doing.

There is alot of tridents that I have ridden and the noises they make are undescribeable and sound terrible, alot of them just sound like a chainsaw cutting through bone.

For a long while I haven't heard any of First (Greenford)'s TNs making any funny noises. Until this morning TN33278 on the E1 making that high-pitched whine

Though, as it changes gears, you can hear the engine rev higher before changing and then shaking as it changes and god its rough lol. Even a couple of NS's 174** batch are like it too. I think 17444 and 17459 are the ones i can name of the top of my head. They can't downshift properly either so i would love to know if anyone can shed some light on this lol

A lot of N long VLAs make strange sounds, also the WVLs at MW and SW sound knacked but who can forget DLA322 which made that awful loud noise. Thats been fixed.......with a noise just as annoying.

Cover your arse, no one else will!!! I Had a small problem with my bus yesterday morning in the garage, i noticed on my pre-service check that it had a small coolant leak, even though i told the engineers and they fixed it in time (was a loose jubilee clip on one of the hoses) i still put it on the defect card and got them to sign it off as fixed.
