VH45109 is awful - the bus had the slowest acceleration I've ever seen - was really revving up every time it left the bus stop and lacked power to go much over 15 really. The sooner the 139 goes to Metroline and these terrible vehicles go (Hopefully off lease, never to be seen in London, or at least NW London again) the better. Would be a big waste if they leave London given their age - hopefully, they are sorted out to work properly like what Arriva did with the ex Stagecoach B5LH's Not really - a lot of other places such as Manchester and Birmingham now have LEZ's in place, so I would imagine they'd get snapped up very quick - considering there isn't many second hand hybrids on the market. Of course another operator in London could snap them up too - I just hope if they stay in London they come no where near me, I despise that batch .

RATP DE20003 broken down whilst on the 326 at Brent Cross Shopping Centre - Saw it earlier with hazards on and the back engine flap open, seemingly abandoned. Looking at LVF it had already been there some time - came out of service at 11:20 whilst I saw it at around 4.

I’m not sure why, but 10348, 10349 and 10350 just seem to accelerate incredibly slow. Even slower than the early examples of the 110xx smart hybrids and the 19xxx seems faster in comparison as well. Maybe Stagecoach have just gutted the acceleration too much on these buses.

When Bromley had 10139-10154 allocated to the 208 and then the 261 batch 1019+++, the 261 batch were noticeably slower despite being the same euro rating. One had a gizmo in the cab with wires and we were told its an ADL monitoring device and this one was the slowest of the lot.

Maybe Stagecoach have just gutted the acceleration too much on these buses. That's just how they are, some are worse than others, the ECU can be reflashed and remapped which can improve performance but at the end of the day, each engine is slightly different and will always drive differently, 19834 out of Rainham is famously known by Driver's, Engineers and controllers as a slow bus and it's subbed loads of times for it, the reality is that many ££££'s have been thrown at is and it isn't much better, then, on the other hand, you have 15006 which is by far the fastest Scania in the fleet, pulls like a train and has done since new. I remember when the 294 batch of MMC's were delivered to NS, and every driver left right and centre was moaning about how slow they are compared to the batch on the 498 and to be fair that was the case, I was even told ADL came out and pretty much said, that's just how they are. I also remember driving the 498 batch and then a few months later they had certainly done something to the mapping as they all drove slightly different, you used to be able to get the bus to kickdown into 1st gear with enough persuasion and it would pretty much bounce off the redline before grabbing second making for a nice boost in acceleration but after they were mapped it wouldn't allow you to do this. I doubt this was a Stagecoach thing and more a software update from Cummins/Voith/ADL. Even with B9TL's at Ensingbus, I know they are 12 years old now but every one of them drives so differently yet they all have the same engines and gearboxes (08/58 Plates)

I have travelled on all of the AR ones personally I didn't see a problem with them.

The 400 & 500 series are generally pretty good.

This is in addition to evidence when garages receive ex-AR stock.
