T144 got towed away from Norwood Garage on Tuesday Apologies for the compressed image View AttachmentI assume it was being taken somewhere else for repair, as it would surely be driven back to TH if fixed. Yep, when I got off the 432 I assumed that it had just been towed in, but I then saw it being towed out towards Crown Point

189 appears to have given up the ghost on Higher Drive whilst on the 434, it’s causing chaos with the temporary traffic lights currently in place there.

TEH2087 has given up on the uphill stretch of Highgate Hill in the middle of the road. Those batch of LK15 Regs batch aren't very nice it seems. More so at just 6 years old. Recently rode TEH2083 on 210, and while it did good on Highgate Hills, it does rattle passengers to death.
There are also 3 20* TEHs out of action, plus 1-2 that were VOR as well. Did I have rose tinted glasses when I rode those pre-covid on 332 or did they rapidly deteriorate since then?

Metroline in general seem to have issue with just about all of their TEH's and it's been going on for a good while. Amazing how Go-Ahead, Tower Transit, Abellio & Stagecoach in comparison don't seem to have issues with their own versions but RATP have issues with their old body ones.

Couldn't say anything about 15 Reg TEH batch, before now as more familiar. On an positive note, I did ride an Abellio version and was very nice, maybe even my favourite of older Enviro Hybrids. Hopefully the ones on 49 get an good home soon with an refurb (back seats aren't very comfortable and worn out).

The SENs on the 386 are starting to show their age but tonight's ride on SEN13 topped the lot.
Bad vibrations at the back of the bus when idling.
A stark reminder of the Stagecoach days of running the route.

A chunk of them are due for the 156's new contract with 2486 reported already refurbished.

I’d love to know what causes the vibrations to occur, loose parts on the bus such as glass (which is a common cause) or is it a mechanical reason?

Not just the SEN's that have that problem some of the the Gemini 3 HVs rattle alot the Gemini 2s seem much better.

I think the glass is a big cause especially examples with a openable emergency exit window but some do suffer vibrations from other parts of the rear so not sure.

I think the glass is a big cause especially examples with a openable emergency exit window but some do suffer vibrations from other parts of the rear so not sure. In the case of SEN13 the vibration was nothing to do with the glass. The lower part of the rear section was shaking every time the engine was idling. In the Stagecoach days on the route engine mountings were blamed. MG got the SENs into shape after they arrived. Given that 6 double deckers were on the 286 I wonder if they are struggling with single deckers. They are regularly turning out SE152 (still with grey lower panels) on the route. This is longer than the other buses. Update: Just travelled on SE88 on the route. This is also vibrating in the same way but not as badly.

SDE20286 broken down on a dead run to Tolworth at the bottom of Winkworth Road, Banstead. A Sovereign truck was in attendance as I passed.
