Really?? I remember them having that moquette into the 21st Century. Though i have to say, the refurbs they've had do not suit the class one little bit lol. Bring on the new stock Probably only a few trains that kept the old 80's moquette Every unrefurbished D-stock I have been on had the horrible pizza-topping ones I think the refurbs look alright actually, if not a little "clinical" if you know what I mean.

Also, why is the District Line so bloody slow I don't know why it's slow - probably has to fight it's way through all the H&C/Circle Line trains on the sections where those two lines share tracks with the District. It's gotten so slow lately I've stopped using it

I only really use it now for a shot hop, like East Ham to Heathway for example. Other than that, i find it useless and a waste of time lol

Also, why is the District Line so bloody slow I'm a district line driver - believe me, us drivers are noticing that the service performance is starting to dip lately. *Insert Coin* isn't far wide of the mark with: probably has to fight it's way through all the H&C/Circle Line trains on the sections where those two lines share tracks with the District. Even the Metropolitan line can affect the District! This is the trouble with the whole sub-surface lines set-up (Met, H&C, Circle & District lines) - one line running with problems can so easily affect the rest because of the inter running. As a District driver, I must naturally blame the Circle line! ;D ;D

were are the depots on this line? Morden, East Finchley, Golders Green & Edgware. 84, at peak times. As in when late running? - I'll pass on that one, as my knowledge of the Northern line isn't that good! can a train transfer to another line? Trains can transfer to the Piccadilly line via a special section of track in the Kings Cross area - as far as I know, there is no bar to 95 stock going anywhere on the LU network..........though the Waterloo & City is self contained and, the Central/Victoria lines use ATO & ATP (automatic operation, which the 95 stock is not capable of). The 95 would therefore only get on the Central/Victoria lines under an engineering possession. Can't the Northern Line trains also get to the Jubille Line? I think it's via Finchley Central Station/Depot. By the way, when the train leaves Golders Green southbound towards Morden there's three tunnels ahead. The southbound trains always uses the middle one, but where does the one on the left go to? (I assume it's to the High Barnet Branch, but what station does the tunnel end up at?)

Thank you. what i ment by doing a turn is some trains turn round at TOOTING BROADWAY/KENNINGTON etc were else Yes they can turn at Tooting Broadway and Kennington - actually Kennington is where many trains are scheduled to terminate, so it isn't exactly a turn. The other turning points are Colindale, Golders Green, Hampstead, Totteridge & Whetstone (very rare), Finchley Central, East Finchley, Archway, Mornington Crescent (I think this one's very rare too), Leicester Square, Euston (Bank branch) and Moorgate. Some of these may or may not be correct but I have checked these by looking at the Northern Line detailed track map (which shows all the sidings in which trains turn). I think the Leicester Square turn is on the Piccadilly Line, as I know there's a gap in the tunnel wall around that station or Covent Gardens. It's possible for trains to reverse back to the Northbound track from Stockwell Station, from it's Northern Line Southbound platform. It's also 'half possible' from Clapham Common, except that the cross tracks have been moved a while back, probably decades ago.

Some stations actually have platforms, where you can see through trains running past on seperate lines. Also, man, you guys should check out Grand Central Station. It's phenomenal!!! So many lines running into one station. Suppose it would be like all of the Tube running into something like King's Cross or similar

No Reversers at Leicester Square but there is a south to north at Charing Cross

were are the depots on this line? how many trains are needed? were can drivers do a turn? can a train transfer to another line? 91 trains are needed in the peak Depots are at Golders Green, Morden, Highgate (aka East Finchley) and a little one at Edgware staffed by Golders Green Drivers. Trains can transfer to the Piccadilly Line Via the Kings Cross Loop but this is only used by Engineers Trains Now
