I take it now that smoking banned, although smoking had never been allowed inside the bus, drivers will be breaking the law by doing so? But, it will be a thing that they arent allowed to do, but do anyway Also, how quickly will a buses iBus system be updated if an unexpected diversion occurs, such as an RTA? When your on diversion the onboard display states the bus is on diversion, and unlike the current system, the exact location of the bus can be seen on a street map by the control room. As soon as the bus goes onto the diversion "on Diversion" will display inside the bus along with an audio announcement. Stuart. Damm means we can't take any more short cuts ;D And cluckingbell watch out there's a certain driver on the 422's this week actually thinking about it egg's on them as well

All day, yesterday, Tottenham band 3 put out calls telling drivers to ignore any curtailments received by text, as there was an iBus fault.

Scotland Yard whilst it was on the N41 this morning and it had scrolling Text display's one on the top deck and another on the bottom deck. IIRC the text was reading "CHARING CROSS, NORTHUMBERLAND AVE/GT.SCOT,YRD."

Ive experienced iBus now and oh my god, I hate it. A route that Ive used all my life, the 73, from the days when I was peering out my mums belly button as a naked foetus, I know all the stops, and now I have to listen to their names everytime I use it!! Oh thanks the lord/ Apple for inventing iPod's!

AFAIK, our buses don't immediately sink to the ground when the engine is cut, but after time, they do tend to lean to one side (even then, i've only seen this on the PVL's). Wrong thread I think, someone's had a beer

I got a picture of it today M1084 (B84WUL), it's been kitted out with computers at the rear of the upper deck. Notice the advert on the side too. Also, found a picture of it in service at scanphotos.fotopic.net/p32549788.htmlStuart.

You'd think that they would get a system that can handle it a little better than that. My dad lived in Germany for a while and when I used buses out there they had a system that told you the next stop WITHOUT the pauses. It actually worked in real time....

I was on a 149 the other day and the microphone/ iBus system kept making that high pitched scream that microphones make at cheap weddings when the best mans making his speech, everyone was complaining. Not good!
