and another similar situatation on the 66.. Leytonstone, Green Man Roundabout Bush Rd Stop R Leytonstone, Green Man Roundabout High Rd Stop P both get called out as green man roundabout they are spaced timewise less then 30 seconds from each other. The main problem in most cases is that it just calls what has been set on the bus stops another case of this is the 364 returning to ilford you turn left from coventry road in to cranbrook road but the 364 bus stop is "The Cranbrook" now i know anyone with some common sense etc but its passengers were talking here aint it. i had this yesterday trying to explain that to 4 youths and all i got is no we want cranbrook road etc untill it finally clicked. The Leytonstone Situation is weird but correct because both stops are Green Man Roundabout, The first announcement you get is when your coming round the bend on bush road and the second is when you past the traffic lights opposite to the construction site. Of course, all this ignores the fact that the 'Green Man' public house is no more (in name anyway), and has not been so for several years. It has become one of those Irish 'theme' establishments (I won't glorify it by calling it a pub anymore).

well, When i got on route 208 toward Orpington, when it got to Bromley Common, The Crown. bus stop shown 'Crown Lane Spur' before the roundabout, but opp the other side of bus stop saying 'Bromley Common, the Crown' . However when 208 turn into Crown Lane Spur and guess what, again same name called out 'Crown lane Spur' . I thought why same two bus stop close each other?!. Im sure the first bus stop called Crown Lane Spur is wrong. and it SHOULD be 'Bromley Common, the Crown' coz same on the other side of road at bus stop. I hope u know what i mean.

Well to my knowledge ibus will announce the correct updated stop name so all we are waiting for is the name on the stop to be updated on the road. I assume this is the one that was called "The Cranbrook" and has been renamed Coventry Road to bring it into line with the stop close by. It was STILL showing 'The Cranbrook' when I passed the stop this morning!

That is strange as the first stop is named Shooters Hill Road/Kidbrooke Park Road and the following stop is called Kidbrooke Grove so maybe an anouncement problem. There's one similar to John's example on the 89/N89 two stops towards Blackheath named/announced as Shooter's Hill Road Kidbrooke Park Road the one before Kidbrooke Park Road and the one after. I'll try to remember to see what it says on the display tonight.

it was too late looking at this last night. But I see that a local colleague has already picked this up and the stop has been renamed - its another one where the physical "on the road" change just needs to catch up with ibus. well, When i got on route 208 toward Orpington, when it got to Bromley Common, The Crown. bus stop shown 'Crown Lane Spur' before the roundabout, but opp the other side of bus stop saying 'Bromley Common, the Crown' . will the 15H (routemasters) get i-bus Yes and No. The buses will be fitted with the radio's but no passenger displays therefore meaning there will be no announcements. i thought it might help with tourists but thats the conductors job i suppose

Far too early to start speculating on the new RMs, but if they do come into service (which I am pretty sure they wont myself, I've always viewed that whole competition as a silly political game Boris player), I'm sure they would have iBus, and after moaning about the fare-dodging with pay-before-you-board bendies I expect they would have conductors. However far too early to start talking about those things.

How long does it take to update iBus stop announments?
I noticed the other week that the stops at Blackheath Royal Standard have been renamed but the iBus screen of the 422 I was sitting behind yesterday still displayed the old stop name.

Depends how quick they can get Emma in to re-record them. Saying that I know we had an update on iBus on Thursday so might have been done. Beaver, thanks for your text, yes looks you was correct with regards the stops at Kdbrooke Park Road, but the display and announcements are as I said (Shooter's Hill Road/Kidbrooke PArk Road) for both stops. Also I got a Bexley Village turn on the 229 last night (Friday) from Thamesmead was unable to get iBus to announce it due to the fact the only Bexley turn is from Sidcup, as I was unaware of this when I left Sidcup (after running dead there from Bexley Village) it proudly announced I was only going to Bexley Village

I pleased the stops are being renamed Blackheath Royal Standard but I noticed routes 53 54 380 are also showing the old stop names like route 422
