I see emma has learnt how to say Greenwich properly, as the new announcement "University of Greenwich/Mansion Site has it announced properly and not as "Grenich" OK, so what is the actual pronuciation then? I've been saying it wrong for more than 20 years! I'm slightly confused by this too. Can we have a video of this to clear the confusion

Can we have a video of this to clear the confusion Being someone who was actually born in said town and grew up in it's London borough, I would say the correct pronunciation would be "Grinnage". I've only heard outsiders and posh folk pronounce it as "Grennege" or try and pronounce it as it's spelt "Green-wich"! Dunno, maybe I'm wrong too....

Well, a girl at work who's Lithuanian tried pronouncing it in the way it's spelt. I wondered where she was on about ;D

I've always said 'Grennidge'
