Would TfL foi know what routes are cross linked to each other?
I am not convinced that TFL would keep a specific record / list - it's hard to think of any reason they would need to, so I agree - they would probably say to go away and work it out from what's in the public domain.
Although there may be some hidden ones, if a bus (for example) does morning peak as running number AB 10 on route X, and afternoon peak as AB 30 on route Y, then that probably doesn't count as a 'cross link' as far as the schedules are concerned.

One such example is the 281 / 681. Officially these are not cross-linked. The 681 requires two vehicles to each make one single journey in each school peak. That is very wasteful as in theory those buses (FW341 and FW342) are then idle for around 20 hours a day. They could be on maintenance and no doubt sometimes are. They are normally diesel-hybrids while the main 281 is all-electric BCEs.
Hybrids run most of the night service and cover all-day duties when a BCE is unavailable. I have seen FW341 and 342 returning from Hounslow in the early evening peak in service to Fulwell Garage rather than running in as per TfL's pdf files. That has the useful benefit of offering additional capacity at a time when it is very much needed and - whether planned or not - fills gaps in the main service caused by extensive traffic delays during school hours back along the route (Surbiton, Kingston, Teddington and Twickenham can all be bad) so 341 and 342 effectively cover if others are turned short. Often at Whitton Church.

Do TfL refurbish bus stations? West Croydon, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Victoria are among those rebuilt / refurbished (for better or worse) in recent times. Bearing in mind "recent" is relative to age and I go back almost 70 years.

Do TfL refurbish bus stations? I wish they’d refurbish the red neon Uxbridge Station and roundel signage at Uxbridge. That hasn’t worked for probably well over 25 years! That used to look nice lit up at night. What really annoys me with Uxbridge Station now is how they’ve gone from having 8 stops in the 90’s to just 3 nowadays!

Is that because not all routes now run around the island in the bus station? Last time I was there some stopped outside on Belmont Road. When I first knew Uxbridge ... and the details will date this ... as you turned into the station approach from the road and working around Bakers Road you had (and I can't remember the actual letters that were assigned back then) A) Roadside; 305 / 305A / 455 towards Chalfont and High Wycombe; 710 / 711 to London and Reigate; 710 to Chesham and 711 to High Wycombe Green Line services B) Roadside; 321 towards Luton, 803 towards Welwyn GC C) Roadside; 347 / 347A towards Hemel Hempstead D) On the angle by the canteen was the red bus setting-down stop for all routes There was then the parking / layover area where the garage entrance now is E) Beside the station; 607 trolleybus, later 207 towards Shepherds Bush Green F) By the station exit; 224 / 224A / 224B / 224C (later also the 225 garage runs) and peak-hour 204 towards and beyond West Drayton via Cowley Road G) By Suters shop and Cock's Yard (the lane); 457 / 457A / 458 towards Windsor and 459 to Richings Park H) Roadside; 198 to Hounslow via Hillingdon, 204 / 204A to Hayes and 223 to Hounslow via West Drayton I) Roadside; 198, 204A and 223 to Ruislip The 457C was a one-way single-trip which never offered a departure towards Pinewood so had no departure stand.

Sutters! Now that’s a blast from the past! I can remember my late nan often talk about that shop! On Belmont Rd, I can remember the 305 departing from a stop adjacent to WHSmiths whilst the 290 and other coach routes departed from stops opposite the Quaker House. The only ‘country’ bus to do the station nowadays is the 3 (what became of the 58/458) the rest all leave from York Road. As you enter Bakers Rd, the first 2 stops have been replaced by stands for the 607(SL8)/U9. The stop on the angle has now gone. Of the 3 stops adjacent to the underground station (under the yellow roof) only 1 remains right at the entrance to the Station. The Sutters (or Owen & Owen) stop has disappeared but the stop at the back of Woolworths (now a Poundland) is still there along with the last one right at the end of Bakers Rd. Will also add that all the setting down is now done on Belmont Rd, either outside Barclays or at the Quakers house I mentioned earlier.

Although the 207 departed from the Uxbridge Station stand, didn't the 607 trolleybus depart from a turning circle at Frays River?

Fair point re the 607. I was only a nipper at the time but remember the trolleybuses well enough. We used to catch one from Hillingdon Hill int oUxbridge and vice versa. Then one day dad said they were no more and that we would now "catch the Routemaster into Uxbridge". Which we duly did.
I also have a good number of older LT bus route maps some of which show the 207 also starting / ending at Frays Bridge. Oddly not the garage that provided some buses for the route and which was only one stop beyond but was regarded as "Country Bus territory". If you want ed that stop you had to use the 321 or 347 and pay country fares. The only Central Area garage to be entirely outside their operating area? As opposed to the likes of PB which was served by red buses but was as much a country bus town as anything.
There always seemed to be Routemasters in the Uxbridge layover yard so I assume the 207 actually started from the station most of the time.

If that’s the case then Harrow-on-the-hill bus station could do with a massive overhaul 😂 I agree. A massive 7.1 million pax boarded buses at Harrow Bus Station and it just feels tired and dated. The only WC is for drivers/staff so the nearest alternative is St Ann's Shopping Centre or the nearby LU station where as readers will know there's many stairs and a 'lucky dip' as to whether the WC are open. The one thing that is acceptable is the TfL electronic 'countdown' signage that's similar to be found 'upstairs' at Hammersmith Bus Station. For many years a friend lived in Central Harrow and he used to travel home from Central London late and said he purposely alighted the tube at Northwick Park and took a longer walk due to the people hanging around late evening besides HotH Station.
