Just to clarify, theres no low bridges on the 25 route. Prior to being bendy operated the 25 was operated by full height deckers from first, Stagecoach (and LT) before that!!

I cant be bothered to scroll all over this site. Has anyone managed to see the Versas yet for the 469? I did once briefly a couple of weeks ago, Can't tell you much though. It was parked on the 469/132 stand at Bexleyheath surounded by selkent people. I didn't get a very good look as I was driving a 492 at the time and could only do so much looking at a parked bus without crashing mine!! and it was surounded by parked service buses

Question : A new permanant bus stop has been added on route 65, 691 and 671 Southbound (near Bearfield Road, Kingston). Is this normal, and why if it has permanant pole why do they not add any road markings indicating a bus stop.
Oddly the Southbound stop spacing on 65 is now all over the place from Petersham, long gap Sandy Lane-Ham Gate Avenue, another long gap to Ham Parade (but a stop northbound only(with Countdown) at Ham Common), then only about 80m to Fire Station stop, then long gap to Tiffin Girls school (there are 2 northbound stops in this gap), normal distance to Fernhill school (stop known as Durlston Road), short gap to next (Latchmere Road), then the new stop, then Kings Road stop (another daft naming as neither side road each side of stop has that name, Kings Road is further north), normal distance to Kingston Station stop (nearest the rail station entrance that is now permanantly closed on north side of station), only about 200m to next stop (ok as this is a bus station), then another massive gap to Eden Street stop
What I don't understand is if stops have been added, someone must have reviwed situation, so why leave the rest in such a mis-spaced mess, any ideas ?

Bus posts and flags are erected by direct sub-contractors to TfL. Not ALL bus stops have associated road markings, but WHERE these are to be added, this is done by the local council (or their appointed sub-contractor). Local councils are NOT noted for their speed of execution!

The official name of the stop is Windsor Road (it is between side roads called Windsor Rd and Bearfield Rd.) It is clearly harder to co-ordinate I-Bus updates, as I-Bus didn't announce it, on a bus I was on, but maybe it has to await an update on each bus serving it. Maybe this is just an I-Bus programming problem that it can't be set-up in advance and given a start time and date when the announcement should become active. Wonder if they will add a stop in other direction ?

Long wait on the P13 again. That makes it the last two times I have used it that one of the buses has just not shown at all.
Checked timetable at Peckham bus station at 4:11pm and then had to wait until 4:54pm until a bus turned up. New Cross must be a black hole as in that time I saw three going the other way. It then took over an hour to go the four miles to Streatham as it was 6pm when I got off. It really cannot be considered acceptable for it to take nearly two hours from someone getting to a bus stop to travel such a short distance. It was not really traffic either that was the cause but the time spent at stops.
Bighat would have loved it as iBus had a lot to say. Obviously with a bus not showing it was very busy and so the "Please move down the bus" announcement was used at least half a dozen times.

Only thing I can think off is that the bus you should have caught broke down. The running times on the P13 are a bit much but sometimes you need it as traffic along old kent road, dulwich common and streatham are unpredictable. Also, the fact that P13 are operated with only one door which are not suitable for routes that take many passengers and the P13 is one of those routes. I always thought the P13 should have its frequency increased. Theres been a few times I had to leave passengers behind which I hate to do as its only a 20 minutes service. By the way, this should have been in the general discussion thread

Although Mike's map costs £1.50 I prefer to support the high quality work he does and I purchase them every time a new edition comes out. Plus a portion of the money raised goes to charity

Can anyone tell me what the blue sign just in front of the side blind box means. The blue one just in front of middle doors is clearly a wheelchair ramp call button, but what is the sign with the person standing, maybe it lights up when there is standing room only Any ideas ? londonbuspics.fotopic.net/p58718134.html
