How reliable charge wise are the BYD single decks that have been introduced in the past two years? Do they reliably last a full day on a single charge? One for the drivers? In the absence of any replies from drivers, I'd say their reliability looks pretty good if you look at the 153 and 360. Neither route has an overly generous allocation of spares yet they manage a full electric allocation throughout the day. Diesel substitutes are extremely rare on the 360 (only two this year) and non-existant on the 153. I've ignored the 507 and 521 as these have heavily peaked schedules which presumably allow for midday recharging.

Same with the 46 as it has been fully electric this year with the last diesel working back in January

May be off topic as far as transport industry but does anyone know the name of these cameras and what exactly they are monitoring? They are usually on both sides of the roads opposite of eachother with 2 cameras facing one another across the road...I used to think this is bus QSI point. i.imgur.com/mkIGwjr.jpg

Potentially just a TfL "Jam Cam" (https://www.tfljamcams.net/)

I have seen similar opposite one way streets or banned turns Therefore assume they detect banned movements and photograph the number plates. Are your examples looking at similar restrictions?

Lol, again doubt it, because I seen these things in most boring straight roads with no side roads nearby so...

Ok so I think I am seeing a trend with these, they are actually located roughly anywhere between 100 to 500m before bridges, which I think gets triggered when tall vehicle goes by and then sends a message to LED boards to warn of low bridge. (I think)...

Why do some operators don't use running numbers as much as before? I have noticed alot that don't use them at all and some others are good with thier running numbers on every bus they have.

I drive at PB now but I have driven the 46 when the electrics arrived at HT. Wonderful drive, no power issues. The rubbish OMEs on 134s are a very poor example of new technology imo.

Does P4 have low bridge on route? Curious why that route is not decked if no low bridge. (Not like it desperately needs to be decked but still).

So why not blind the new double decks with P4 then if they could potentially be used as spare? Or it can't run double decks because of specific contract? Rookie questions lol.

I believe it's due to residential objections, particularly in the Dulwich Village area.

I don't think anyone snapped it sadly.
