Totally agree, in my eyes either HV280-82 or HV321-23 are currently surplus ... and agree one could be retained ... but then there is the 198 award which I can only assume is Gemini3 or HA based ... and no idea if those 3 spare vehicles are or are not part of the intended 198 allocation. I don’t think we can rule out a LT conversion either at this stage, Arriva have enough spare ones knocking around to convert the route Incidentally it's been reported that LT973 paid a visit to TH a few weeks ago.

That's interesting - latest rumours seem to be suggesting HV's for the 198, potentially those spare from the 133's recent cut.

The ones made spare from the 133 are over 10 years old, wonder if they will be used but the contract will be adjusted to 5 years accordingly like has happened with some other routes using older buses?

LTs sometimes go to TC, may have gone into TH on the way for some reason? I'm not sure if LTs would be suitable for the 198, the Thornton Heath High Street stand and the left turn from Bridle Road into Wickham Road.

LT770 appeared on the 27 today, anyone know if that was a loan or whether it's part of the 3 batch? (I assume the former given it worked the 68 right up until last night)
