Nice to see the correct RR garage codes to be finally seen on their buses for the first since the garage opened 8 years ago, Quite fitting to be applied on a 147 allocated bus since it was the first route to be operated out of RR in 2016. 36657 refurbished with leather seats fitted on the inside and is the first BK E200 MMC to refurbished.
*checks pulse & pinches self to see if it's a dream* Well, well, well. It only took 2 contracts for a garage code to finally be applied! It's not too late to refurbish WVL468-480 for the 101's 2017 contract either, but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one! River Road applying garage codes is probably a symptom of the walls having ears, but quite frankly it is a bit frustrating to know every GAL bus you see in east London is guaranteed to have the wrong garage code. The only time GAL had the correct codes on this side of the river was when the 100 moved into SI for two years after MW closed. That's it; one piddly route for a couple years after operating in east London for almost 20 years and you're the second biggest operator in the area? Not being hyperbolic, but I'd genuinely need to see MHV1 with garage codes to believe it. Even when I do, the Lizzo track 'About d*mn Time' springs to mind. Don't H&D trim apply the garage codes at the end of the refurb?

I don't see many of the GAL garages in North East London bother with them, perhaps as they never put running numbers in the holders at the sides of the bus. I think Silvertown (SI) did, I remember seeing the PVLs with codes on. Northumberland Park never did, until refurbs of MHV60 and co saw codes on the sides. Buses move around a lot so some may not bother with changing them...

Even post refurb, some of their LT's are a bit questionable... went on LT310 the other day and the rear door was broken, and a few of their early LT's are really loud, but at least they work unlike the ones at GY... Yeah seeing Enviros with AL or SW or Evosetis with Q on the side despite being at RR/DS for months is just ridiculous and funny, it is not that difficult to peel off a sticker, replacing it doesn't seem that necessary, if the vehicles are gonna be swapped around from RR/DS a lot, whereas Arriva and Stagecoach, don't really do that often, aside from all the mess with bringing in more Enviros into RM for the 165.

I saw HV167 back on the 102 this morning. It's a shame the North London refurbs are just paint and nothing more. LEDs would be great, especially ahead of their move to GY (although that's next year)

MHV 1 has been refurbished and is back on the 147 today. These buses look great with a repaint and new logo. Spotted MHV 1 again today and it looks like it has already been damaged! The rear left side looks like it has been heavily scratched.

The rear left side looks like it has been heavily scratched. I also saw a repainted SLS, I think SLS4, with a damaged side panel which has been replaced by an unpainted metal panel.
