Pool's too quick for me. I like a nice game of snooker, a game of skill and brains ;D I can never remember the order for snooker so pool is much better for me. Also - on the subject of taking things up since joining the buses - I never even considered golf until I started driving these chariots ;D Which reminds me I'm just about to take up Golf again, lets see if I can break 100 this time

If I'm permitted my four-pennoth.... Being born in the West Midlands, brought up near Sellafield (no jokes about glowing in the dark - I've heard them all. I've even written a couple!), and currently residing in Edinburgh, my football loyalties are divided/mixed/odd (delete as appropriate). In England, I support (from quite a distance) Coventry City, but keep an eye on Carlisle United. Up here in whiskey-swilling country, I support Hibernian. I even saw George Best play for them - God, he was awful. I don't really support anyone in the English Premiership, unless they're beating the organic waste out of Manchester United! I'll watch cricket till the cows come home and US Football.
As well as buses, I'm into the Underground, NR, DLR and the Tramlink.
Music-wise, my roots are into Rock Music that stems from the early 1970s, such as King Crimson, Groundhogs and Man. Having said that I'll listen to anything 'heavy'. I'm also very appreciative of the Mellotron - the sound of which STILL makes my flesh crawl after 40-odd years.
By profession, I'm an Electronic Engineer. It transfers home as I design and build bits 'n' pieces, particularly electronic music gear.
I love mind puzzles - Logic Problems are good, but Sudoku is brilliant! I used to write numerical puzzles, some of which appeared in compendium editions of "Logic Problems. I got paid a pittance for them!
I also drink beers & lagers. Despite living north of the Tartan Curtain for over 30 years, I've never developed a liking for whiskey, unless it's diluted with 8 parts of lemonade.

Well, I'm a Charlton Athletic fan, have been for 25 years or so. I used to have a regular season ticket but can't afford it now. Mind you if we stay out of the prem' long enough they'll come down in price again ;D ;D My music taste is varied. From Pink Floyd, through Genesis to Opera, as a generalization you could say I just like music. It can pick me up when I'm sad and make me sad when I'm happy. I've been married to Carol for 22 years, have 2 kids, one about to buy her first house with her 'significant other' and the other doing his GCSE's and playing footie for Heybridge Swifts under 16 first team ;D (he scored a goal on my birthday last Sunday) what a nice present that was!! I've been a freemason since just after my 21st birthday. Not as active as I once was, I plan to make amends for that in the future ;D I'm very proud to say it has changed my life. We're not all strange honest ;D ;D ;D ;D I do a lot of DIY (I'm an approved electrician) and quite handy with a saw too. I've designed and built a small extension to our house which included a complete drawing and specification set which went off to the local authority and came back with all the necessary stamps on. I also designed and built a large covered deck that runs the entire length of the back of the house. It's big enough to house a large freezer, outside dining furniture and a huge sofa for summer relaxing. I like working on my car and have a spare that I bought to keep the road-going one on the road.
