I saw a vehicle on the 405 today which looked like an SP/15xxx, no idea of reg or fleetnumber I'm afraid. They were delivered for a frequency increase last month. Fleetnumber probably is 9**. No, they were ordered for school workings on routes 293 and 612. Fleetnumbers are 955 and 956. One has already made an appearance on the 202, although I am yet to see one on the 405.

I don't know about the MAN/E200 on the 202s but from what I hear, the 202 is extremely busy with double decks. If the route is extremely busy with DDs why don't they stick with it or has TFL got something to do with it? I agree with the 202 being extremely busy with double decks, especially during peak times. The actual reason why DD's were not previously used on the route (when with Selkent), is because they were deemed unsuitable due to low trees along Wells Park Road, in Upper Sydenham. Now that the trees have been given the needed attention and DD's run alongside the Darts, they might as well double deck the whole route, like what Arriva did with the 319 and Metrobus with the 405, as they run perfectly with no issues. The MAN/MCV's can then be used to replace the V-reg Darts. There are currently eleven of these at Croydon garage and IIRC, there are sixteen MAN/MCV's on order. That is a good idea.

Agreed, it is a mess not helped by the colour mixture, silver surrounds to the lights, yellow adverts and the multi-colour collection of stickers on the right hand side only. Is it really necessary to use a blue sticker stating selected traffic laws, and a black one with a watering can (its not a pot plant) , and white writing at the top over-ruling the ownership name to its left. Whats with the little white arcs above the right hand lights. Why use 3 round lights each side and one hexagonal one. Finally why are the roof pods a mixture of white and red. Sorry, I really don't like this multi-colour muddle

That Omnicity in the Photo really looks good on the 202 the route should be converted to Omnicity instead of those MAN/MCV buses. What route is that Omnicity for is it for 293.

I agree with you there, although I think the current Omnidekka's will do fine, give em' some more life As for the question in turn, it is indeed for the 293 (school workings only), but it can be used on the 612 as well.

Does the ELBG Omnicities have the blue "illumination" downatairs at the front, like Metrobus examples?

Sorry, I really don't like this multi-colour muddle It doesn't look as bad from the front www.greaterlondonphotos.fotopic.net/p54349043.htmlAs for the Hexagonal light as it is the only light that is lit how do you know the other's are not the same? Having said that it is probably something to help distinguish between the normal running light and the brake light. The white arcs are reflection of bulges on the bodywork around what I think is the Emergency Stop button.

Now thats something I never knew about ;D I was under the impression these were amongst the last batch of vehicles actually purchased by Metrobus, hence them being around so long Thats what I was told by C's Quality Control Manager as I saw one being serviced and decided to ask him how long they are staying for and he told me that they were leased so I take his word for it. I think the 03 reg ones were brought out right.
