Let's talk about the past. If history were changed on the Tube, what would you want to see exist in this day and age? For me, I would imagine the Northern Heights extensions existing on the Northern line. I wonder how chaotic will it be when delays happen. Also, you can talk about line extensions that you would personally want to see. Say for example the Victoria line to Leytonstone (although plans were reserved for the Chelsea-Hackney line). All views and opinions are welcome.

As a (near) Crouch End resident, the Northern Heights extensions would top the list. - or, for the line to be incorporated into Chelney as a branch from King's Cross Then, I would like to see - Bakerloo line from Camberwell to Watford Junction - Jubilee line extension towards Thamesmead (from N. Greenwich) - Re-instating the line from 7 Sisters to Palace Gates (and run this as a branch of the GOBLIN or NXEA) - Also, it would be nice to have some sort of "South Cross Route" fast line across South London, e.g. from Richmond (for LU) then Surbiton, Tolworth, Sutton, Croydon, Elmers End, Bromley, Sidcup to Woolwich (for DLR). I'm not really suggesting it, It's just my "fantasy" line

I agree with most of you, i'd like: -The Epping-Ongar line re-instated -Jubilee line N Greenwich to Thamesmead -Victoria from Walthamstow to Leytonstone or Woodford -There were once plans to extend the Piccadilly line Aldwych branch from Aldwych to Waterloo- that would be very interesting to see. -Northern Heights branch on the northern- there were also plans to extend from Mill Hill East to edgware. -The old metropolitain branch lines
On the overground trains in London (not the newly formed London Overground), there were once plans to extend the Chingford branch to High Beech and Loughton, this would be very interesting to see especially having two stations in Loughton. Although, the High Beech station would have destroyed all the Epping Forest around that area into a 'Muswell Hill' style development. This proposed extension explains the station layout at Chingford- where the building is at the side of the platforms not at the end, as it would have been easy to add more track on towards High Beech, and not demolishing the station building.

Let's talk about the recently withdrawn 1983ts. I think that they should've been built as 1973ts instead of having them designed as a 'mini' version of the D78 stock. If this happened, some of these trains would be cascaded to the Picc and let's say the Bakerloo line. What do you think?

Denham - Ongar would be totally pointless IMO. I'd probably travel from one end to the other just for the ride ;D But I doubt you'd see other passengers (except enthusiasts) travelling end-to-end Plus it would be far too long to maintain a realistic headway. West Ruislip - Epping is long enough as it is.

I've been wondering about the distance between High Barnet on the Northern line, and Cockfosters on the Picc for a while. Looking at Google Earth, I've found out that it's 3.6 miles to drive from the two points and New Barnet NR station is roughly half way. IMO, it could be possible for the Piccadilly line to be extended from Cockfosters to High Barnet. What are your views on this?

My own opinion on this is that, anyone living in between High Barnet and Cockfosters can walk to either High Barnet, New Barnet or Cockfosters Stations in under 15 minutes, so I'd say rail coverage in that area is in fact very good already.

Most of the land between Cockfosters and High Barnet has been built over, so it would have to be in tunnel if such an extension was ever built (and we all know how expensive it is to build a new deep level tube tunnel these days ) Anyway if passengers wanted to transfer between Cockfosters and High Barnet there's always the 384
