The London ones look like Selkent and Transdev versions. Couldn't help but notice some Brighton & Hove and some Wilts & Dorset examples too

It appears the recession has also hit Scania bus production at Slupsk, Poland. Not sure if this will delay deliveries such as Metrobus (Crawley) or London United that have buses on order The google website translation appears to be 108 redundancies announced 2 weeks ago at the bus factory www.gp24.pl/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090320/SLUPSK/169081103

If the Recession has hit them.

How come nottingham city transport still have omnidekka's on 09reg, I thought the omnidekka was discontinued after 07reg as it was replaced by the olympus.

From what I was told, they were an outstanding order from 2007, but were not delivered until this year. Same with the last 8 Lowlanders which are 57 reg but only entered service at the end of 2008.

LOL, I wish they did not discontinue the omnidekka as there would be some more euro 4 omnidekkas running around, I reckon transdev would have gone for some and obviously metrobus.

Was reading Buses mag today again and they way this line is worded, seems to suggest that Optare may be still building more Omnidekkas.
"Notttingham City Transport continues to specify the East Lancs OmniDekka body style from Optare in it's Scania double-deckers"

Isn't East Lancs/Darwen/Optare the main manufacturer that specifies vehicles specially for operators e.g they are still making omnidekkas especially for NCT and they produced the Esteem mylennium's specially for Metrobus and provbably produce other specials for operators around the country.

Yes they have always been more willing to do special buses for operators and non-PSV conversions, I'm wondering if someone will buy one of their Panaire open top Esteem buses lol
