VW1397 kicks things off for the 28's Metroline era! Bustimes has VW1247 running hour an hour before VW1397 at 00:10, with the latter on the 00:45 journey, but neither of them appear to be tracking properly, so,who knows?

Not sure if this is the right place, but I've seen a post of a new BYD bus for London, and there are reports saying that there are several, meaning it could be a potential order. Metroline have ordered BYD buses before, and they also have a lot of routes that require electrics, so could this be it? I just wish I could get a clearer picture of the livery to see what it's for. However, there are chances of it just being a demonstrator, and most likely there aren't multiple, but I'll see what I find out. It DOES have a high spec interior though, but it's really long in terms of length.. hideous looking bus wonder what route gonna be tested on

Their still is a VMH at WJ and itâs out on the 206 I guess thatâs now officially allocated to the route until the new electric double decker arrives for the double deck duties.

It's been confirmed to be a London demonstrator, only 1 was expected and only 1 has been photographed (only claims of others being there and no photos) It looks like a knock-off Yutong U11DD with a revised front for Vision Zero. Thanks for the confirmation! The bus looks awful in my opinion. Looking at the state of that thing makes it obvious to me why they wanted to partner with ADL to make the bodywork. Looks not even a mother could love. I think theyâll find the amount of orders they get will nosedive if thatâs the bodywork itâs gonna be offered with now

Didnât notice until now it had allocated VMH.

I think you find producing their own bodywork would make the bus substantially cheaper than the existing BYD E400.

It WAS my understanding. I'm miles away just now, but it appears that, according to LVF, the 3 VWHs are back in service at PB, and at least one of the 3 VMHs has moved on. Apologies if my original post has proved to be rubbish. Very strange as I saw VMH2452 blindless at the garage (after 2 weeks in service at PB), and it's back at PV on the 90 today. Nevertheless I'm not complaining, the VMH20** batch are lovely buses so I'm glad they aren't going anywhere. Saw VMH2453 on the DLR replacement service between Westferry and Island Gardens today, still without blinds.

I think you find producing their own bodywork would make the bus substantially cheaper than the existing BYD E400. Every bus is designed to get orders, Iâm sure the MetroDecker was designed with that in mind, but instead it has epically flopped with hardly any orders. Bus operators wonât order a monstrosity like that, plus if itâs the same BYD chassis and battery pack, all the newer models now outperform it. I know Iâve had this conversation before about bus operators supposedly not caring about the looks of a model of a bus, but I disagree in the fact they very much do care. Bus operators want to portray a good image of their company, and they wonât do that by ordering a model that looks like an ADL product thatâs been knocked off by Wish đ plus again if operators didnât care about the looks of a bus, weâd see a lot more of these ugly things on the road. We donât see hardly any. That equally disgustingly looking Yutong has only been ordered by Newport council so far I guarantee the only reason BYD got the orders they did is by having ADLâs reputable name attached to it. If they went it alone, BYD wouldnât have stood a chance in hell. Iâm near as 100% sure this full BYD model will bomb epically. If it doesnât, then we can turf this post up in the future and half a laugh at my expense đ¤Ł
