LOTS might have made a mistake but it seems to suggest the tender renewal for the 17 is for mixed LT and Electric buses from July. I am going to assume this is wrong as the TfL tender award states existing New Routemasters.
Is there a plan for the BDE's?
Nothing's been mentioned for the BDEs. I would have thought they could have placed a mixed new and existing bid for something like the W7, particularly since they are ordering more BDEs anyway. Also currently Metroline don't quite have enough LTs for a full allocation on the 17, so would need a few from another operator if the tender award is correct.

For a couple of weeks, starting today, HT is concentrating on WDE type training, open to all, but focusing on Route 4 drivers. Company post. Sounds like the 4 will be using more Electroliners like the W7 did if other routes like the 83 and 297 aren't ready for them. Hopefully this will allow the remaining 9 23-reg WDEs to enter service from HT

Got a feeling LT461-3 will end up moving over.

I wonder ithe TFL Tender announcement may be a bit misleading as there are no plans for the existing BDEs on route 17 as the other routes were awarded with new BDEs and clearly not enough LTs at HT at present so I do wonder if the 17 may just continue with its part BDE, part LT allocation

I am not a fan of mixed types! Yes I know this is how it works and as I said this is purely an enthusiast comment.

Possibly, I think they could be scattered all over the place, it very much seems like they’re gonna convert the 4 quite early because there’s not enough room to store everything, 25 or so BZL’s in storage already, plus another 27 BZLs incoming for the 228/316, plus yet another 23 Electroliners coming for the 113, plus the 23-reg electroliners not in service, I can imagine space will probably become an issue if they don’t get them in service

What if Metroline sends the 142s BDEs be sent to PB for the 263 after 113 receives its own batch of WDEs and the 297 WDEs get moved onto the 142?

Perhaps some could go on the W8 temporarily?

OEM2750 returned to the Herts PB1 yesterday (after 2 and a half months off-road). Three months on - same sh!t, different day. Let's see if it can last longer than two weeks before its next VOR stint this time!

Two VWs at UX presumably training drivers on the VWs for the incoming 697. One is currently on the U4 and the other on the 222.

If AC and W gets electrified before PV could the 83 temporarily go to those garages to use their originally intended WDEs until PV gets wired up?
