Seeing as the 125s extension has been long coming. I am surprised to find that none of the bus stops between Finchley central and church end have 125 on them except one new bus stop located just after the junction of church end towards the quadrant. Also none of the VWHs or TEs have Colindale station and are still showing Finchley central Apparently the VWHs and TEs do have Colindale station and Hendon Church Road on the blinds as they have been seen at the PB open day last year. It may be due to it not being selectable. Here’s a picture of a TE with it on the blinds last year (not my picture) www.flickr.com/photos/149557469@N02/28806142047/in/photolist-KTv1rv-d1nM6b-29QrzPtThen I don't know why they don't display colindale then.

Then I don't know why they don't display colindale then. The only thing I can think of is that it’s only the TEs that are blinded or that drivers are unaware and haven’t bothered looking through blinds.

The VMHs do however. VWHs should be put on 134 and VMHs on 125. At least 2 VWHs are blinded. Despite not being advertised, the loads seem good from what I have seen. All the 125s I've seen have had less than 10 people. It is only day 4 for an extended route, and during a half term holiday, colour me not surprised that loadings are light.

Also the 125 should get busy when the new barnet council offices open in August

The loadings on route 125 have in fact been pretty decent for an extension that wasn't really advertised at all. I have been on the new route 3 times in the last few days, and I'm happy to report that the bus was never once empty along the new section. I have noticed that the drivers are particularly friendly and helpful when passengers ask about where the bus goes, more so than on regular routes I travel on. I can only imagine that the loadings will continue to improve at an ever faster rate, and many more people will start to make use of this new cross-borough link when they realise that it exists.
I rode on a VMH yesterday which was correctly blinded for Colindale, though the other VWHs and TEs still display Finchley Central as other members have mentioned. I agree that it is surprising about the bus stops/tiles not being installed yet, surely TfL would have had enough advanced warning to get all the necessary infrastructure in place to facilitate the extension?

Then I don't know why they don't display colindale then. Even LVF has caught the bug. It’s showing the buses as correctly going to Colindale but it’s still showing the route as only going to Finchley Central 😂

tfl.gov.uk/bus/route/125/Even on this the top of the page says towards Finchley Central but hnderneath shows to Colindale Station and also the map only shows Finchley Central despite the graph (don't know the correct name for it) showing Colindale station.

The whole look of the BDE I just don't like it. Overall I do (I am a big fan of the E400 City bodywork generally and find it very stylish), although I think on the Metroline BDEs, having the stairwell unglazed and black to accommodate advertising is a retrograde step. Living in Bethnal Green I see E400 Citys every day on the 26 and 388, but it is not a common type of bodywork in London and I wonder if for some enthusiasts who don't see it regularly, it looks unfamiliar and somehow odd (that's not a criticism BTW). The other day I was walking along the Thames and saw a HA on the 319. At first I was confused and thought it was a 137 on diversion then I noticed the black and red bodywork and realised it was an Arriva HA. I’m hardly accustomed to see Cities around because I don’t have any where I live

Route One has article on new BYD ADL deckers for Metroline 382kW/h of energy is stored at the rear and in two separate areas within the wheelbase. Length is 10.88m (just one length for E400EV), height in full-height form is 4.32m BYD standard electric bus drive axle with twin 150kW hub motors. (The Enviro200EV is dual 90kW rating). 2 x 150Kw is equivalent to just over 402HP (and electric motors have high torque at very lower speed) Transport for London specification, weighs 13,294kg unladen and has an GVW of 19,200kg. But looking to uprate front axle 300kg to increase GVW to 19.5t (max for 2 axle electric, 2 axle diesel is max 18.0t) Heating is by Heat pump (some E200EVs use diesel heater) Hispacold system gives up to 21kW of interior cooling capacity.

Two new bus stop flags have been installed today along Greyhound Hill and Church End for route 125. Still no sign of a permanent stand flag at Charcot Road.
Interestingly, both stops are named "Greyhound Hill", though the iBus (towards Colindale) incorrectly displays that the stop is called "Church End" (which is in fact the name of the previous stop).
