Two rail related questions that will wrap your brains.
1. What is the is only NR station in the UK to be served SOLELY by HSTs?
2. I travel from Waterloo to Clapham. I travel by two electric powered trains and two diesel powered trains and I do not double back any station en route. What is the route that I took?

1. Berwick upon Tweed, it is only served by NX East Cost and Cross Country and has no local services.
2. Waterloo to Salisbury (diesel [Exeter service]), Salisbury to Brighton (diesel [Great Western service from Bristol]), Brighton to London Bridge (electric), London Bridge to Clapham High Street (electric)

Well they might not be what Tangy is looking for, but I am pretty sure they are both valid.

1. I assume "HSTs" means 125s, which rules out Berwick as Cross Country have Voyagers and NXEC have a class 91 or two. I'll suggest Pewsey, as I don't think the 180s, or whatever they are, work over the Berks & Hants.

Good call. I think you are right that only 125s will stop there so he probably did mean that.

okay, time for an update.
1. Well done to owen76. Pewsey is the only station in the UK to by served solely by HSTs (class 43s)
2. I am liking the various routeings you have taken but sadly you are all wrong! I am not talking about London Waterloo (the official NR name for the station) and secondly despite the various Clapham stations in London none are called just plain "Clapham" they all have suffixies like Clapham Junction etc.
Keep trying at this one guys.

So you mean Merseyside to Yorkshire, You can get electric from Waterloo into Moorfields, another electric to Liverpool Lime St, Tranpennine diesel to Leeds and a local diesel train to Clapham

I am indeed talking about Waterloo in Merseyside and Clapham in Lancashire.
Although teh route you have taken is perfectly valid, the route I thought of was:
Waterloo- Southport (Electric 507/508) Southport- Wigan Wallgate (Diesel 156) walk to Wigan NW Wigan North Western- Lancaster (Electric 390 "Pendo") Lancaster- Clapham (diesel 156/158)
It will save going all the way cross to Leeds to head back westwards!
Quiz complete.
