I see from LVF that a streetlite is on 493 today, but as route is shortened tomorrow, I assume PVR decreases so wonder if it will become rarity in future Does PVR go down 1 or 2 and which buses, anyone know where they might move to If it's the suggested 1 bus reduction, I'd expect it to remain as cover for long term VOR WS72, and perhaps a SOE to become spare (school extra?).

I had E267 of MG yesterday - it's just like E129, the TopoDyn settings have been modified/watered down. Now it seems that when pulling away, the TopoDyn won't activate for at least 12 seconds. But if the throttle is applied over 25mph, it works instantly. When it's not working the transmission upshifts at low revs. However when climbing some of the steeper hills in the Riddlesdown and Selsdon area, it did activate when pulling away. Restrictions notwithstanding E267 was a good bus - happily sat at 60mph on the M23 and M25 and felt totally stable - the damper did its job very effectively. I've driven Euro 5 E400s elsewhere that do reach that speed but show considerable signs of distress after a couple of minutes and go into derate mode for months on end afterwards. Not to mention the steering rocking all over the place! I find many of our ADEs enjoy sitting at these speeds on the light run to/from Watford via the M1. ADE40436 seems a good one?

I suspect the SE will probably stay but might move to BX if the B12 needs any more Enviro 200’s for its start date in January.

Any clue as to why SE192 has not received a refurbishment as part of the 493 contract? Was surprised to see it still in original condition in Wimbledon Village this afternoon, and as far as I'm aware the 493's refurbishments have been completed apart from SE192.

The 493 was tendered with a -1 PVR decrease which came into force with the Richmond changes.

Not to mention the steering rocking all over the place! I had E271 today and it's the same! It seems these superb machines are now systemically having their performance restricted. At least I got to have a go on E262, E263 and E266 before this new shift programme hit them!

ADE40436 seems a good one? The ADEs which have come to BK are amazing, they often reach 35-40 during their runs down the A13 before their limiter kicks in. Although ADE12 makes a weird noise. Since around 2016 the ZF boxed Euro 5 E400s became rather punchy when their shift programmes were changed to allow them to rev higher - the Voith boxes ones don't have that oomph. RATP do limit most of their fleet to around 40mph! I remember when the ADEs were new and you'd get some of them reaching near 60mph on the 111 in the Hampton Court area, but when the shift programme was changed they were limited to 40mph. Sadly the improvements being made to the ZFs are being partially reversed. I've got E265 today and again, rev restricted below about 30mph and when going downhill. I asked an engineer what was going on with these Es and they said someone had come round plugging their laptop into as many Es they could find! Presumably someone in charge has realised these buses have been burning up the diesel since TopoDyn was introduced and ADL have offered a solution that will reduce consumption in town. The 61, 12 and 62 plate Es that were at C, NX and Q back in 2016 were among the first Euro 5s to be given TopoDyn and got an aggressive version that made them significantly quicker. Buses that were done when at BX, MB, PM, SW and other garages got a watered down version. I wonder if ADL have sold this more economic programming across London or if it's just for Go Ahead for now.

Isn't this part of mayor khan's bus engine restriction business to meet Zero RTA's as detailed 2 yrs ago?

I think some Allison boxed e200s are getting a reprogram. I remember driving a 13 plate e200 on the 126 some months ago which changed gear very quickly (Like a Scania) i booked it up as a defect. I've seen somewhere that others of the batch are acting similar so might not be a defect??
