Have the fleet codes for the S1 Metrocities been confirmed yet?

Not sure if anyone can confirm but have heard that the 646 is expected to use SEs from September with the SOEs going from RR at the end of school year with the, the 646 has also started another contract which the 09 reg SOEs are too old for so does seem like a reasonable statement but was wondering if anyone knows any details on this if it is true? Yes 646 starts a new 5 year contract at start of September, so the buses need to be suitable to operate until summer 2026 New contracts also on 608, 652, 658, 679, 686, from start of September as well

So many questions if this is true
Was the the route not awarded existing diesel buses, this doesn't always mean the current buses, I am sure GAL can find some newer buses in the fleet
Are there any spare SEs? surely they wouldn't purchase brand new electrics for the route Would they install charging infrastructure at RR or move the route to DS
Funny this has come up as the 646 /648 was meant to get MEC buses ex 507/521 at the last tender bus this changed as the buses was not suitable for the route.
They only have to find two SEs - given 64-reg examples are turning up in Plymouth they can't be short of a few.

Didn't think it was going anywhere? It is. It is at Nigel Road now. I know I was querying why southlondonbus said it had gone but it clearly hasn't.

Anyone know if consideration has been given to moving them to other GAL routes? It was originally meant for use on the X68. Would love for SW to have it for use on the 87.

I wonder if any thoughts have been made about having more of them. No worries. It hadn't run since the start of the pandemic and cam back in April. I would love to see more of them but I want to try it out first. I wonder if other operators would like a try-axle?

I haven't tried that particular one yet but the diesel versions with Ensignbus are lovely to ride, had two different examples on railway replacement before
