What's the extended 129 using today. Probably enough weekend spares but from Monday will need a few more WVLs. With the 129 out to tender, the EHVs from the 135 could be a good PVR fit for a new contract. There is no change to the PVR of the 129 as the peak frequency is reduced with this extension.

It seems a bit pointless sending LTs to route 5 to cascade WVLs to Brighton. Other WVLs have become available from route 432, with others due soon from route 132. These could have gone to Brighton instead. Why is it pointless? The 5 already has early morning and late night LT workings so makes sense to convert the route. Also the 5 is about to start it's two year extension so hopefully enough LTs will be available to fully convert the route ready for the next tender which will save TfL money. Sorry I'm late to the game, but what will happen to the 11 EHs allocated to the 5 at present? Will they be sent elsewhere in London or used for a future bid?

Sorry I was only speculating that the 5 would fully convert! Nothing confirmed but going on routes like the 176 that converted as more buses became available.

TL already has the infrastructure.

These could have gone to Brighton instead. Except the 132 examples aren’t available to move yet due to the ongoing issues regarding its electric conversion whilst only a small number of WVL’s are available from the 432 as WVL436-439 are to be used on BX school routes I did factor in the fact that there will soon be spare WVLs from route 132. The conclusion I reach is that the Brighton bendies needed replacing too soon to wait for the WVLs from route 132.

Do you know if WVL484-495 will became apart of the 101's PVR when the 5 converts to LT's as it will be going down to 10 with the cross rail changes.
