Do you know if the 93 will still be shared between Sutton and Stockwell when it gets electric buses. I don't think it will as the tender award was for 26 buses (we now know new) as opposed to the current PVR of 23 plus crosslinks from SW.

According to a post on the Go-Ahead Facebook group as well as another cryptic post elsewhere, keep your eyes on the 132 tomorrow…I think everyone has an idea what that is 😉

The E400EVs for routes 119 and 264 will be Ee's (Ee70-Ee95), making a total of 26 buses.

Interesting they’re not EPs I wonder if they were part of a long term bulk order prior to the EP variants. Its possible, would be very interesting if the newly ordered Sutton Cities are EPs

Interesting they’re not EPs I wonder if they were part of a long term bulk order prior to the EP variants. It would have been easy to add a variation More likely, it is envisaged pantograph charging will only be installed at certain garages or termini, and if nothing from garage where they are being allocated to is being fitted, then pointless adding it. I guess it will work in a common pool with other pantograph fitted buses then sensible to add it. I am guessing that if you fit pantographs, got to have a place to maintain it (some sort of roof access platform), and might need to modify the roof cleaning part of any bus wash so as not to damage it. Therefore having it in some locations might cause other problems, that means don’t want them everywhere.

Yet Arriva's EA's and the BDE's for the 204 both have pantograph charging capabilities but neither garage don't or won't be using it. Croydon garage is a modern facility compared to the two previous garages so I can't see why they'd have a much more restrictive clearance in their bus wash in comparison? To me, it makes more sense to have ordered pantograph charging capable buses in order to be able to freely transfer buses to another garage further down the line without having to worry if a certain batch can actually fully function at it's new garage

Just clogged up that the 170 & 476 both operated by this company are the only Diesel buses to enter Central London, just skipping the CC ULEZ! Amazing to think that just a few years back, Diesel buses were all over Central London. Time flies for sure! The 44 too - occasionally uses E400s and quite rarely E61 which was on the other day. The diesels all over Central London are long gone sadly but it's nice that the oldest decker in London still runs close to the centre every once in a while.
