The old screens were becoming quite unreliable - all too often on my travels was I encountering screens not working properly. I disagree the new screens are a waste of time - they look modern and whilst yes some aren’t working properly, that’s always something that can be fixed. These screens can always be updated to include extra information and the old screens don’t have the space to include even more messages. The old screens are incredibly dated and look extremely basic and I’m glad we’re moving away from them Possibly depends where you're travelling but in my neck of the woods, I genuinely can't remember being on a bus where the visual display wasn't working. The iBus displays have seemed far more resilient than those on trains. Where it sometimes falls down for me are gibberish audio announcements. The new generation of screen seems to try and cram too much information in for me, in such a small font that's unreadable. So you’ve never seen a piece of masking tape covering the “Bus Stopping” on the iBus display?

Or perhaps it's a vehicle age related thing but it's not an issue on the routes I use.

How long are the SEes going on the 355? They look a bit short but it might just be the angles I’m spotting them from.

Good thing that there are only a few of them out daily

No doubt the new buses for the 355 will be same length as the outgoing WS's.

Ee264 was spotted with a broken iBus display, supposed to be a full LCD sized one. I also noticed they don't have rear displays like other operators. It's bad enough TfL's taken so long to catch up on LED displays for buses only to then stop at full rear displays being optional. I'm especially a bit disappointed Go Ahead never went for them as for starters they make the E400EVs look even better throughout than they already do. I do wonder if TfL will eventually make that spec an obligation for later orders, like they did with the electric mirrors. A spec is coming soon apparently according to the latest bus design standards.
