GAL are not "getting rid" of the 118, it is not being offered for tender as TfL is withdrawing the route*. Smilarly, merging of the 14 and 414 is not GAL's doing but TfL's. * or at least the number; arguably the revised 45 is simply the 118 extended to Camberwell Green.

After the 225, SL6, 337 and now G1 are we starting to see chinks in the armour of the previously all mighty Empire is at risk of imploding! Been a while since they had a net gain tender announcement. OK ... Nothing major lost, but trending badly.

OK ... Nothing major lost, but trending badly. I think there’s been a feeling that this could be a possibility for GAL for a while. It’s nearly always a foregone conclusion that following a major boom comes a major bust. Not saying that’s what going to happen to the company at all, but this could be a sign that their over expansion could be hurting them Swings and roundabouts as they say. Having said that it doesn’t seem like anyone can undercut TUK at the moment. What’s only gonna slow them down now is that all their garages are full to bursting

If anything these losses should benefit them in the short term. It also conveniently means Abellio are probably full at every garage now.

There's no official closure yet hence he said potential. There's a development that was supposed to happen there so GA have a limited lease, however due to covid the developments been pushed back a bit so I think GA have applied for an extension of the lease

Makes it difficult to plan long term if there is too much uncertainty about the immediate future.

Not sure why this isn't happening to any other route, but 115 only seems to have 6 buses tracking despite having a PVR of 18 buses. It has been like this for a couple days, and is annoying because I can't tell when the bus is actually arriving or not.
I hope that it is a tracking issue, and there are not only quite literally 6 buses on that route, that would be a third of what it requires!

Does anyone know if GAL have WVLs / WVNs in their commercial fleet? They have a few converted to driver trainer buses but they've sold on the rest of the withdrawn fleet to other subsidiaries

I could see the Go-Ahead logo at the bottom but I think it was a LED rear blind. Haven't seen a all red GAL bus down here in a year now
