I believe the batches for 436/507/521 are leased but the 12 & 453 buses are owned. During induction we were told that all London General buses are leased.

Why don't Go-Ahead London have any LWB double deckers? Alot of their route certainly do need them.

I agree route 92, I have always said that. I do not understand why LC/LG do not have LWB deckers. I know they have enviros now which have the same capacity as say a lwb trident.

That's why the AVL's have gone into store as opposed to returned off lease - they are owned. Go-Ahead is a mix of owned and leased buses. Incidentally LDP's 134-141 are all delicenced now so there are no more 10.7 darts (these were leased).

I think the E's are the same as an SWB Trident, selkents Enviro's on the 61 are LWB versions. The giveaway is the full size window in the middle whereas LC/LG's have the half sized one.

I was told by a senior engineer at BX that all the buses are leased from a company which strangely is owned by Go-Ahead, nothing like keeping it in the family

Some roads for example, Southcroft Road and its endless chicanes, are quite narrow and judging by the fact that at some parts of that road, the current buses have to jump the kerb so imagine a longer bus .

The AVLs are presently stored because the firm plan to use them as float to cover the PVL refurbishment program (for routes 213, 321 and 363). This is planned to commence once the WVLs at AF are done.

I have no idea. Ok mate They'll be sold probably. - bear in mind another 50ish buses will be displaced when the new buses for the 21/63 arrive. I understand some of the PVL's for the 213 are already under refurbishment but have no news of arrival dates to start (these are buses withdrawn at Q when the 35 & 40 were lost). In reality I imagine they will mix on the Sutton routes with a concentration in the 151 - the slight longer length and lower ride of the DOES makes the departure from Worcester Park a bit awkward.

Not from what I saw when I was at Worcester Park about 2 weeks ago.

Is this the same deal with the Metrobus fleet? I know at least some of their Scanias are leased.
