it always used SEs and still does occasionally, with the 163/164 upgrade it borrows SEes daily now. The other day I saw 3 SEes on it. Are these deliveres for the 152 or just strays from the 164/163? Four of them are on it today

Appears to be on the same duty again today, said to be up to a six month trial throughout. It appears to be on a different duty today, the last 3 days it hasn't been used until after 9am but is already out today. I imagine more drivers are type trained and/or those already trained are on different duties for its use

Did make me question what was on the 163/4. I do still see WS on the 163 sometimes. Both the 163 and 164 have two spares currently (27 SEes for a combined PVR of 23, excluding the 163's decker working), so there are plenty of buses spare for the 219 to use a few electrics. Presumably a couple extra were ordered for the 164's future extension to Belmont so there might be less spares in the future. Is the 164's Belmont extension expected to go ahead at the same time as the other Sutton/Croydon changes?

Not to mention its highly likely next year the 219 will gain SEes aswell meaning a common type across the 163/164/219/413 as the 413 regularly uses the newer ones aswell.

It must be the only hospital in London to have no major improvement works in the last 20 years.

Just got off a quick hop on MVB1 to Kingston before it went out of service for the day. Have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the MCV/Volvo EV offering. Spacious, vaulted ceiling and I love the use of the blue LEDs down the middle of the upstairs. I also liked the way the lights dimmed when the doors were closed, felt very modern. I cannot wait to see the Stagecoach version.
Couple of young enthusiasts taking plenty of photos and videos as well which is always nice to see.

Seems like TfL are planning on reversing the 265s stand arrangement in Tolworth. The stand flag has been moved to the opposite side of Ewell Road so they will enter the stand from King Charles Road rather than exit onto it. It also means the first stop will be the same as 281/406/418/K1 towards Tolworth. Not sure when this comes into effect but the 275 has already been added to stop LC.
Oddly the small stretch of King Charles Road by the little green patch and allotments is currently one way so not sure how this work.

Funny exchange between a 200 driver and the controller this morning going towards Wimbledon, just as we got to Colliers Wood the controller must of asked why said bus was so late, driver said he left Mitcham 7 late and there is lots of traffic coming into Colliers Wood so taken me 15 late, controller goes I can’t see any traffic? Driver responds with you’re not the one driving the bus are you 🤣🤣. I got off at Wimbledon and bus wasn’t turned at that point.

Power cut in the area of AL may cause an issue on the run out tomorrow.

St Helier wasn’t being fully replaced, it was being downgraded from a full A&E hospital to an urgent care centre with some other facilities moving to the new hospital in Belmont. As it stands they still haven’t signed off a final design and is unlikely to be up and running before 2030. There is a large new school on the same site adjacent to the existing Royal Marsden but a new school route up Brighton Road would solve the capacity issues in the short term.
