Hi all, as you may know the DLR will be closed for 9 days next week and i thought it might be a place to put what buses are running on the services and what service are running
On the week of the 26-29 there will be 5 DLR replacement bus serivces DLR1: Canary wharf-prince regent DLR2: Canary wharf-london city airport DLR3: Canning town-prince regent DLR4: East india-london city airport
the above services at peak times(6.30-10.00,16.00-1930) will operate at a five minute frequency at all other times ten minute frequency
Also DLR5: Canning town-EXCEL express on friday 29th only between 9.00 and 19.00 ;D

Today sunday: Buses operated between canary wharf-london city airport and east india-prince regent and heron quays to excel bus fleet numbers to come later ;D Just to add due to a late change of plan East India is not being served by buses and are going further to Blackwall and Canary Whalf

New ensign D/D that got lost on a DLR rail replacement hit the blackwell tunel and it was closed for 3 hours and jubl line buses were going via tower bridge what a day lol

New ensign D/D that got lost on a DLR rail replacement hit the blackwell tunel and it was closed for 3 hours and jubl line buses were going via tower bridge what a day lol do you know when it was today? and why didn't the jubilee line buses go via the rotherhithe tunnel because tower bridge is quite a diversion ;D Although the Rotherhithe Tunnel has the height to accomodate DD buses, due to the fixed width restrictions on both approaches, vehicles would have to be 'wrong-roaded' to get onto the approach roads, as is done by the fire brigade. However, apart from the safety implications, the sight of a vehicle 8ft 2.5 inches wide coming at a driver from the other direction would be somewhat intimidating! When it was RT operated these were only 7.5 ft wide, and only 27.5 ft long, NOT over 10 metres!

You are correct about the rotherhithe tunnel but tower bridge is the diversion was set up by cetnre comm the bus hit it about 0830 this morning

How many warnings are there on the approach, not to mention the automatic sign which says "overheight vehicle divert". The route learning for these rail replacements seem to be minimal.

How many warnings are there on the approach, not to mention the automatic sign which says "overheight vehicle divert". The route learning for these rail replacements seem to be minimal. i know i often us the rail replacements on the DLR and i have had to help the drivers about 6 times ;D
