I find the seats on the new 2009TS have gotten very grubby of late... they should have gone with a darker moquette

Did anybody else ride the last 67 stock on the Victoria Line earlier this evening, I sure did; I rode the penultimate and ultimate journies. I Also saw Bighat on the train, anyone else from the forum ride the train for the last time.

I did, Indeed, did the very first rounder of the late 15:42, not too surprising. The train got chopper block all the way from King's Cross to Oxford Circus on me half trip after the rounder. Then got off Victoria and had me final look of the 1967 Stock. Oh well least we got the look a like 1972 Stock but it won't be the same.

We also met up with Bighat for most of the journeys, missed the first run at Warren Street SB as it was sooooooooooo packed. We caught up with it at Stockwell NB, and stayed with it until terminating at Seven Sisters at about 20:00hrs. Was meant to finish at 19:32hrs! But thanks to two troublesome 2009 stock's *sighs*, we were delayed. It was great to be with it for the last journeys up and down the line. It was extremely packed as it was full of enthusiasts.....and commuters in the rush hour! But the atmosphere was great Here it is departing Seven Sisters for the last time - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uv8OjBxLbHo

Nope just said "its illegal to take photos on London Underground" then platform staff came over and said the same thing, to which the off duty LU Staff member went "No its not, we are not using flash and dont have a tripod", she were not convinced and radio'ed for the supervisor to come down to the platform, however before the supervisor came down the 67 stock had arrived and we all got on ;D

As I understand it this weekend the Victoria Line is closed and more of the old signalling is being decomissioned. (Seven Sisters -Walthamstow was done end May). The old trains cannot work on sections with only new signalling so will presumably quickly be removed (there is a junction just south of Finsbury Park that allows them to run (manually driven) onto Piccadilly Line towards Acton etc
Also it means the end of the fixed block sections so trains will be able to approach occupied platforms better as another train is leaving

One is scheduled to go to Acton Works on Monday and one of the remainiing two will be used in engineering hours on the Victoria line, presumably for engineering purposes. A bit late in the day but here are my photo's from Thursdays last day of operation - www.flickr.com/photos/steve09photos . Chris, I saw your video on youtube. Nice one ;D Saw myself in at one point, squashed the first carriage
