Had my first trip on the 235 since it passed to RATP recently and I have to say I was APALLED by the service. The schedule seems to be ridiculously padded out, the bus I was on was crawling down the road with painfully long dwell times at stops as well as having to stop and regulate. Thankfully there was a 237 behind so I was able to bail and take that but I that doesn't take away from how shambolic the 235 was. The 235 hasn't been doing well at all under RATP tbh, which hopefully will change once the BEs are introduced. The BEs are likely to have the ISA tech in operation for the speed limit.

Thankfully there was a 237 behind so I was able to bail and take that but I that doesn't take away from how shambolic the 235 was. It's an absolute farce how the 235 has seen reliability diminish with RATP taking over. Frequenting Hounslow for the odd meet up with mates and extra work in the area since 2018, I've used the 235 long enough to know it's down to the operator for the route being in tatters. On Saturday 25th June, the day of the last rail strike, I spent 2 hours getting from AV to Sunbury Cross. It took 3 buses; one terminated at Hounslow Heath unexpectedly, the next after 30 mins abruptly cut service a couple stops after boarding. It's such a big travesty that a route that I once used to beat the people traffic with & also took because it was reliable compared to the 237 for example, isn't the same 235 that we all know today.

Random thought… 76 and 53 have a closer terminus than 36 and 321/P13/343 Are there any other termini where this is the case? (Places like Lewisham Stn and Lewisham Shopping Centre/Tesco dont count; the exact same iBus name)

Is it just me who feels like no bus has any form of heat regulation when it is needed? Recently I used the 436 and there was cold air being blasted onto my head in jacket weather yet over this week every bus has been overcrowded and overheating, along with endless traffic extending the humid rainforest experience of AL's fleet.

I did a few end to ends yesterday and it was torture. The 61 had cool air and was pleasant but the 161 and 269 were bad (torturous on the 161)

On Tuesday, I rode four buses and only one was overbearingly hot and shock horror, it wasn't the LT I rode. The two Abellio WL MMC's were decently cool, the 250 T I got was very hot & LT691 surprisingly had working air cooling

I have not had any terrible experiences yet. I have found the EV types on the 69 for example good and even the hybrids on the 56 good. The two things that have annoyed me. Buses with heaters on that cant be turned off. A couple of times this has happened on the 158 which otherwise is not bad. Buses with issues should not be in service. The other thing is coming on a bus early in the day where the windows are all closed because it has recently come out of the garage. It takes time for people to realise and open them up and by the time that happens you have lost the opportunity to drop the temperature of the bus to a lower point before it inevitable increases.

Everyday I go to work I have to commute on the 27 and i can feel my palms water from the heat.

Yeah, normally on a LT in this weather, I get cooked like similar to how you describe but not on that example

That in-bus screen with the information about the incoming trains is really nice

I find them to be really hit and miss, today I had an LT on the 148 and also on the 15 and the air cooling on them was actually working very well, it's a shame that's not always the case
