The driver with the Sidcup stn blind problem passenger has my entire sympathies. Why are people so bloody rude esp when it's their mistake? If the bus is correctly showing a short working blind then no transfer is called for. Well done mate. Thats what buggers me. What happens when the bus you want is not going the whole way meaning you aren't able to get to the destination you are going to. Its all good changing but not when you only have enough for one fare and you can't get a transfer ticket. Are people suppose to wait 30-40 minutes for a bus they can get or be forced to pay more to get where they want to.

Not a rant but general discussion...
I did a day on the 492 last week, It was only after i handed the bus over i noticed I'd been driving a bus with "FOR THE LOVE OF BOOBS" written down the side of it...
Thought that was kinda cool because anyone who knows me well knows i have a massive love of boobs... (or is that a love of massive boobs?)

Rant for Today, Passengers using Rail tickets, seen a recent upsurge in this and they ALL seem surprised when you pull them up for it Anyway today as most of the South London driver's will know we have been carrying Rail Ticket holders due to a lineside fire, anyway get's to Abbey Wood on the way to Thamesmead and a woman get's on a shows me a rail ticket, now correct me if I'm wrong but I thought we only carry them to enable them to get between stations via a reasonable route? She was trying to use it to get fro the Station home and then proceeded to tell me I didn't know my job and that she is going to make a complaint (yet another to add to the list then ;D) I suppose you've got to give her credit for trying and I know a lot of drivers would have probably let her get away with, however I was having a bad day doing egg's duty

Guy gets on earlier today (after getting refused on the 177 in front so im already suspicious) shows me an underground ticket starts arguing with me, eventually pulls out his pre pay oyster and touches it then says are you going to Plumstead (im at Greenwich heading for Lewisham)" no mate other side", "can you refund my £1", "no sorry" ...justice

It was only today when you said you had 128 next week that I remembered how bad it was. Oh and enjoy 128 next week, makes 116 look like a walk in the park, unless they have changed the times on it since I done it as I always got hammered in the Shopping Centre and then again at the School not to mention Belveder Police Station and Yarnton Way, of course it might be better now they have the plastic Police in the Shopping Centre.

Thats if i do 128!! ;D Jeff (Billy Idol) has had 128 all this week (he's in front of me on the rota), and he's been getting hamered all week, though he said if you time it right you can get out of the shopping centre before the kids get to you, and by the time you get to the school the woolwich road starter is picking them up!!! on the plus side ive only got it for 4 days, monday is bank holiday.

I was going to try and get an 89 tonight at Lewisham tonight but gave up and got a ferry bus from BV back to Thamesmead. ;D ;D ;D I have also noticed them and thought they was quite good adverts. Good job you didn't bother trying, it was hectic, what made it worse is that the train company's were telling people to go to Lewisham and get a train out to dartford etc from there, but there werent half as many trains as there was needed, so may passengers resorted to the buses. I never saw one 89 leave lewisham without standees.

Extreame mentalness on the buses as noted in previous replys I picked up 70 people (not bad for a bus with a capicity of 59) at the Cutty Sark (first stop on route) I didn't stop again untill the bottom of westcombe hill outside the police station where about another 70 people tried to force their way through the doors as i opened them to let 1 person off, after much shouting and switching the engine off they decided to wait for the next one. Some hope?!?!? seeing as in a nice little line there was 2 422's 1 108 and 2 286's (one of them me) all traveling up westcome hill together non stop due to being already over loaded!!! (this'll give you an idea of how fully loaded i was... 8mph up westcombe hill!!!) I also passed a very full 89 on shooters hill road the driver seemed to be having much the same discussion with passengers I'd just had. I just stayed in the off side lane and prayed no one rung the bell!!!
As i was going into greenwich on my last trip about midnight i saw a 422 coming out with another standing load AT MIDNIGHT!!!!!
What with my drunk sleeper on the last stop on the last trip last night this week is going well!!!
