More cities in Canada will be served by Megabus. Untill recently, the only city served by Megabus in canada was Toronto (Megabus US). It was part of the new York route. Stagecoach subsidiary Coach Canada has already been operating Megabus-style service on its Toronto-Kingston-Montreal line for a few years. They offered fares as low as $10 and more recently $1 during the winter. As of this summer, Megabus branded Van Hool TD925s have been spotted running the Toronto-Kingston-Montreal line. Tomorrow will be the official launch of Megabus, with a media event in the financial district. Photo I took of one of the new Van Hool double deckers a few days ago by the Toronto Coach terminal: www.flickr.com/photos/apta_2050/3812718994/

Interesting to see they're using the same branding as the U.K, but even more interesting to see they're using the same, or similar, vehicles to that which they have recently had delivered for the Oxford Tube!

I wonder if Stagecoach has chosen to go with van Hool for all double deck inter-city coaches. Here are some photos from the event today: Megabus Canada Launch
