I have just been informed that Silly Farooqi's latest forum, the Go Ahead Bus Forum, is no longer extant!
This now leaves our south London 'friends', the Brixton mafia of Carlovel1 and his associates.
Finally, we have the peripheral 'clowns' who may or may not be directly associated with any of the above, but have a nuisance value beyond their worth.
All the hacking, false impersonation and similar anti-social behaviour is distressing in the extreme to those who have had to endure it.
I am sure they care not if such people are or are not affiliated with this lot, but only want it to be stopped, NOW!
The problem of multiple IP's and proxy servers will give our admin everlasting headaches, but in the meantime if we have a rule about changing user names (or having more than one in the first place) with intent to deceive, can we enforce it?
If we do NOT have such a rule, perhaps NOW is the time to consider one?
I share lc1's concern about the member possibly falsely accused of being someone else, but his 'threat' to leave the forum was just that. He made it to ME in the early hours of this morning (by PM), and has been online almost constantly since.
He even invited me to send his PM to Admin. That was apparently unnecessary, as he would appear to have done it already himself.
Now, it is THAT kind of behaviour which we have come to expect from some of our 'usual suspects' (ranting to one person, grovelling to another).
The best advice I can offer is to stay loyal to the forums which you trust (joining THEIR forums always leaves a nasty taste that plagiarism and other 'nasties' are taking place), avoid constantly 'demanding' information.
Try a bit or original research yourself, THEN ask if you are stumped, and finally understand how the members feel like who HAVE been cheated and abused by these people.
Of course they are going to be both annoyed and suspicious of suspect behaviour, wouldn't YOU in their place?

Can I just add my two-pennies' worth.
I think ALL of us need to calm down a little, and act in a more rational way, and especially avoid witch-hunting of any form. Nobody is perfect and all us have gone through a learning curve at some stage (me, RM1(yes I do remember the days before the rebrand ;D ), mcv kid, OmniCityLondon etc all included). We are where we are now because we were welcomed and supported along the way. I think it is quite unfortunate that the behaviour of Farooqi's lot has lead to some of the new members being dragged into the muddy water. I personally believe that a 'guilty until proven innocent' witch-hunting approach is destructive and jeopardise our credibility.
We live in hard times and it is especially important that we show each other understanding and support in these times. To the (potential) new members can I just say most of us mean well when we give our advice and criticisms, and that if you cooperate well then we will have no reasons to be suspicious. Follow Bighat's advice on doing original research and show courtsey and gratitude when asking for help, then I'm sure we'll only be glad to help.

While people may be loyal to this forum as i am there are 2 other very well established forum that have been going at least 7 years! which have a huge membership and yes I am a member of them They are Londonbusenthusiast and Londonbusgroup! Are these next on the witch hunt? Does make me laught how Bighats post never get deleted! I have my suspicions to WHY! and this will get rubbished BUT I am almost 100% sure you are a inside of this site acting as a normal standard member! Also i am still waiting for an apology about the mental health comments or at LEAST those posts are removed |

I think that it would be interesting, if everyone on this forum could meet one day lol. I would be up for it, because it would be fascinating to actually talk to some of you in person, to kind of understand the real personalities which everyone has. But I am currently in Jamaica. Been here for about 3 yrs. I went back to visit London last summer. It would be good anyway, because then everyone can just clear the air and talk honestly face to face. Get to know each other. I can't wait for the criticism coming up soon lol  |

Just a piece of trivia, did you know that the Icelandic telephone directory is listed in first (given) name order and NOT by what we would call family or surname.  And no, Magnus Magnusson DID not tell me that, so I have finished!  |

I never really get involved with whos an old member on a new account but have just briefly read this topic. Maybe people shouldnt get too involved of what they are doing elsewhere on the internet and what groups they have created. If they are that sad to do so then let them get on with it. They will eventually learn when theyve grow up and got a life how sad theyve actually been!

arriva24319.proboards.com/ Tom farooqui now has this forum. He seems to ask me constantly do i like Metroline, Arriva etc and slowly its going through all operators.
