Didn't think they were doing anything with c2c until they had been told that they had kept the franchise on a new 10 tear deal In any case, i haven't seen what they have called the c2c line now or is it just going to be National Express c2c?

Thanks for that TR*. Will be keeping a look out for that from now on. I was suprised mainly because i went past East Ham depot the other week and there was nothing to show it had been brought in line with the rest of NatEx's rail ops

Oh great! Grey and white....thats going to look dreadful in a few years And whats the point of repainting the C2C trains, seeing as NatEx are in deep financial trouble. There will probably be a new operator soon anyway!!

Well, it may not last forever. According to the latest 'Buses' mag, NatEx are selling off NatEx West Midlands and their 2 remaining rail franchises (c2c + NXEA) to Stagecoach They will keep their coach operations and school buses in the States I have noticed a few more of the class 317's repainted in the new NXEA livery ;D

Bloody hell, times MUST be bad!! Alot of the 321 fleet is being repainted now too, yet not a single 315 to make them look slightly more appealing

From a personal point of view I much prefer the C2C line than the East Anglia one and Im talking about going into London as well as down to Southend etc.

I just don't have a direct link to either Barking or Upminster, so the East Anglia line is much easier for me to use

Is it definate that NXEA and C2C are being sold to Stagecoach? Would that mean the fleet would be painted into Stagecoach colours (Like South West Trains, East Midlands Trains). I think those colours are great! Also, I hope the NXEA and C2C branding will be seperate, (i.e. I wouldnt want C2C and NXEA to both be East Anglia Trains etc)

I'll have to ask my dear daddy to see whether he knows anything more internal though. It doesn't mean that the rolling stock won't be mixed though as i've heard reports of special peak journery's made by c2c from Liverpool Street since NatEx got EA. These run via Woodgrange Park onto Barking and Southend Central. Whether this could become more common, i'm not sure

Who knows what will happen, all I know is the C2C operations dont need as much perking up as the East Anglia operations do.

Well, according to Buses mag, it sure looks that way. And the first opening paragraphs mention the sale of the Midlands operations to Stagecoach, along with their 2 rail franchises Saying that, things could change again, and things take a while to be finalised, but whatever I've just noticed the newly painted class 317's passing up and down the line at Northumberland Park (makes a change from the WAGN livery some of them had) ;D
