I've used it only once too. From the North Woolwich end into Woolwich proper, at 8:30 in the morning, accompanied by some people heading to work in the other direction. It still had me trembling. Cannot begin to imagine it late at night when the local gangs hang out at both ends (judging by the graffiti I saw there last time) Have only ever used that tunnel once in my life and it creeped me out completely lol I myself have never used the Woolwich Tnl, and I never intend to! Whenever I need to cross the Thames, I allways use the Blackwall Tunnel or Jubilee. I would prefer to add an hour to my journey to do so instead of putting myself at risk in the Tunnel.

Well if you think the Woowich is unsafe, you should check Blackwall Tunnel lol. www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2002/apr/24/transport.world
