I have seen on various central london routes certain 'alight here' announcements, but on one particular route e.g. Grovsevner Gardens alight for Buckingham Palace Bresseden Place alight for Buckingham Palace Oval Station alight for Oval Cricket Ground only on Route 36. Chelsea Bridge alight for Battersea Park only on Route 44 Westminster Bridge/County Hall alight for St Thomas Hospital only on Route 53 Is this only trial run?

that'll be handy... talking of announcements, my driver ones - can they be added too with ease or there loads of red tape? As there are a few i think would be handy eg "Please take your/any litter with you" for when i know there's plenty passengers munching stuff. and one for when a hear crap music from phones and those sharing there phone conversations.

Hopefully, they do...
kennington church for oval station - you do get alot of passengers asking for this station Parliment square for westminster station - this one very important, especially coming from oxford circus as passengers don't realise its the stop they want until after I gone past it, heading towards the square

When ibus was still being installed (some companies/garaged still yet to be fitted), i was told there were quite a few messages on there that have since been deleted, including one about loud music as well as "PICK POCKETS OPERATE IN THIS AREA" and "PLEASE STAND CLEAR OF THE CLOSING DOORS!!"

Correct, there was also one about taking rubbish with you, driver changover's and another stop closure one (along the lines of this stop is closed) I'm sure there was other's that I have long since forgotten

I would have thought it would have emptied the bus, especially if played at a stop when the doors were open!

Yes that as well sometimes ;D I've done a few garage roadshow visits recently, and from what i understand (this is from the people upstairs who are involved in making these decisions), various announcements were removed from ibus annoucnements to try and reduce any possible assaults and conflict between staff and passengers from the use of these announcements.

So the yobs win? and also it was explained that iBus has a PA system, which should encourage drivers to use their voice - not rely on a set of messages that could be seen as a cheap way out (for example: the bus will be held for a short while during a driver changeover, which resulted in the drivers just disappearing off and leaving the bus unattended, as 'we did tell the passengers'.)
