This is the Off-Route section, so no complaints for stupid threads ;D
Jonathan Ross has stood down from the BBC!
Im pleased about this because I think his an immature d**khead.
Although I do love watching Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, i dont think he was punished enough for that pathetic scandal.
Anyway, what does everyone else think of him? and are you pleased his quitting the BBC ?

I quite like the guy actually. In fact, the prank he and Russel Brandplayed is probably something me and some friends would do to EACH OTHER (before anyone attacks me : . In fact, i think the more light hearted side of the population could see the funny side of the incident and why they did it, but agreed it was OTT. That aside, i think he is a reasonably funny guy, his chat show is good and he will be a loss for the BBC, especially if a channel like Sky or C4 were to use his sense of humour to its full potential. Could make the BBC look a little bit out of touch if he proves to be a bigger success! I must admit, i've never listened to his BBCR2 show at all. I'm more of a XFM, Absolute or Kerrang! listener (i love DAB ;D). However i have watched his movie review show and it shows more of a serious side to him, again something i think the BBC will regret losing. This could work VERY well for Sky with their movie channels

I mean, I don't no why people were taking the side of a dominatrix women over a person who ok was paid more than he should but made people laugh. Again, the BBC has cocked up. First, they tell Frankie Boyle to tone down his witty and dark humour, hence him leaving Mock the Week and now Ross has quit. I don't blame him. Hopefully, we'll see him on TV soon. The way things are going, the BBC will end up like ITV or worse Channel 5.

I generally seem to be watching more Sky channels as they seem to have, not only more choice, but more channels that suit me. The beeb losing Wossy is a bug, big mistake in my eyes.

I agree with you in the most part. Did think they overstepped the line a little bit with the prank on Andrew Sachs but then, as you say, look what his daughter does for a living... And yes he has been involved in other controversies before but what other comedians haven't? A shame Wossy is going. Friday Night and his 'Film' show were both very good ratings bankers. Good luck to the Beeb in twying to fill the space he has left, they are weally, weally going to need it.This is the Off-Route section, so no complaints for stupid threads ;D Jonathan Ross has stood down from the BBC! Apparently The Graham Norton Show might be filling the gaps. Although Graham Norton is quite funny, he does not compare to Jonathon Ross.
His 'prank', although I find it reasonably funny, its the fact he phoned Sachs up and left a message on his phone.
And I didnt know that about Frankie Boyle, how he was told not to be so offensive. Frankie Boyle is the only reason anyone watches Mock the Week!!

I watch Mock The Week for the others too but Frankie will be missed. Someone like Jack Dee or Reginald D. Hunter should be brought in as his replacement.

I like Wossy he is funny and entertaining but saying that I don't listen to his radio and I have stopped watching his Friday Night because the entertainment, guest and the quality is not the same as it use to. Saying that Wossy is great loss for the BBC and I do hope that ITV or Channel 4 will take him on.

Same, I hope it's Channel 4 who get him as ITV is crap and I don't have SKY. Also, from what I've seen, Channel 4 is not as worried about the style of jokes Ross uses considering they used to have Eurotrash on and have had other programs which might have hit the risk button if they were on the BBC so this may appeal to him.

Amos How about Tim Minchin? Now that is one funny guy. So serious and dark and yet everything he says is funny. Lee Evans, everything that he seems to say ends up being quite reflective upon the working class. I know i can relate to him alot!!
