The agreement was that it would be locked as soon as new fleet numbers are released. Why are you so worried about it? Could we not leave the thread unlocked for historic discussion on HCT. As the Tower Transit thread was left open for 3 months, maybe this thread should be kept open for a similar period? Then if there were any developments regarding the HCT fleet these could still be covered here. Plus the renumbering, although announced, has not been implemented yet.

According to LOTS website, TfL is due to reset the former HCT bus fleet into the Stagecoach London fleet with the new fleetnumbers next Saturday, 15th October.
On LVF you should continue to use the CTP prefix and HCT fleetnumbers until the reset is done.

To follow this up: The m1 was taken in-house by First from Monday 5th September, the two-day gap in service allowed the route's dedicated ADL Enviro400 CBG gas buses to be transferred to First premises. City route 52 was taken on by Altonian, part of the Transpora Group. Route 511 was taken on by Eurocoaches of Yate. Gloucestershire County Council arranged for Applegates of Berkeley to operate a truncated route 62 between Dursley and Thornbury, connecting with First services into Bristol From Monday 3rd October The Big Lemon of Brighton took over four routes in Bristol, being granted an operating licence for twelve vehicles in the Western traffic area. The company displayed one of its Higer Steed electric midibuses in Bristol City Centre, although for now the services are being operated using former BCT diesel Enviro200s. The routes taken over are: - 505: Long Ashton Park & Ride - Southmead Hospital - 506: City Centre (Broadmead) - Southmead Hospital via Easton & Eastville - 515: Imperial Park - Stockwood - 516: Broad Walk - Hengrove Park Fares are in line with other operators in the West of England Combined Area (WECA) and The Big Lemon issues and accepts the multi-operator BristolRider and AvonRider tickets. thebiglemon.com/2022/09/30/22039/

Bristol Community Transport, part of HCT Group, ceased operations last night (Friday 2nd September). Metrobus m1 will not operate over the weekend, but will continue from Monday 5th September with a different (as yet unnamed) operator. <snip> To follow this up: The m1 was taken in-house by First from Monday 5th September, the two-day gap in service allowed the route's dedicated ADL Enviro400 CBG gas buses to be transferred to First premises. <snip> The m1 gas-powered Scanias are now numbered 39321-39341 in First's own sequence, and operate out of Lawrence Hill Depot. Before this thread gets utterly confined to the dustbin of time, may I "celebrate" the fact that on this day, 7th February 2018, Irizar demonstrator, YN67 VDK, operated on the W13, which was probably the one and only time it carried passengers on TfL service. (However I will be happy to be proved wrong).

They went into administration after selling all their operations.

quick question - why did HCT decide to withdraw it They had financial difficulties which is why they sold their London operations to Stagecoach. They went into administration after selling all their operations. I seem to recall the final straw was the fact their fuel hedging was due for renewal in September 2022, obviously for the first time since during or before the pandemic and in that period there had been an explosion in fuel prices and they didn't have the working capital to offer any certainty. They had been in financial issues for a while. They had a Cyberattack which wiped their financial records, all the while this was happening their subsidiaries were losing money causing them to breach the covenants on their quite significant debts they'd used to finance expansion. I know a few operators had held talks with them to take over the TfL operations prior to the takeover (one I'm told being Metroline) but Stagecoach obviously ended up "saving the day" - I expect had they not of reached a deal they probably would have ceased trading.
