Are the DAS allocated to a route or are they roaming spares?

Are the DAS allocated to a route or are they roaming spares? One of them is allocated to the 385 (usually DAS1) and other is just a spare (usually DAS2).

One thing I haven’t seen discussed very much is that the W19 is getting a substantial increase on the same day the 218, 278 etc start. Very good idea as I understand it’s an extremely busy route, but I wonder where the extra buses will come from. I don’t believe they have any spare 9.6m Enviro200s that can be used? I’m intrigued to see what they’ll do

Currently it’s 5bph M-F daytime increased to 6bph in the AM peak towards Argall Avenue only, x13 minutes on Saturdays and 3bph Sundays and evenings It will be increased to 6bph M-F daytime, 7bph in the AM peak towards Argall Avenue only, 5bph Saturdays, Sundays and evenings will remain 3bph. That means a PVR increase to probably 17 or 18? Maybe 19? What I don’t like is that on the website it says the W19 will be increased on *every* day of the week, and then it says no change on Sundays, so that information isn’t accurate is it Probably very welcome increase as the W19 is currently the busiest it’s ever been, that can’t be said for many routes nowadays

But I thought Metroline still needed them so I ruled those out. Not surprised by that those, thanks for that

Aren't the built to the 10.2m spec? I know the W19 can certainly take 10.2s as it's taken the 364s 10.8s in the past but I'm not sure about the W11 and for commonality's sake they might want to keep AW fully 9.6m excepting the 20s E40Hs.

Yes those ex 95 batch are 10.2m long.
The W13 was reallocated with few 9.7m MMC's when the D6 came to HCT last year as the order for the E200 MMC's for the D6 was reduced by 3 buses with 3 17 reg 10.9m MMC's are now allocated to the D6 instead so maybe the W13 will be taking those ex First/Metroline E200's with the 9.7m MMC's being used on the W11 & W19 PVR increases instead.

As the 385 tender announcement is due, and the 57reg DAS's will need replacing, HCT Group can purchase the K1s 13reg E200s as the 385 is a small PVR route, and the K1s E200s will be spare, but Abellio could retain some of them, if the E10’s proposed extension to Osterley goes ahead but TFL seemed to have put it on hold and not release anything, could be due to funding (I'm not sure)
