Will be interesting to see what happens on the Central Line on the Epping branch, as TfL haven't put these stations on their list of stations that they hope to keep open. There is no direct bus service from Epping to Loughton (the only service is hourly 541 which operates via Theydon Bois and Abridge, taking just under an hour!) , so I don't know whats going to happen there. Also will be interesting to see if any extra buses will be put on the 20 or 397, especially as they 397 can be used to get to Chingford Station where there isn't a strike...and this is a service which operates every 30 minutes with quite small buses...not sure it will cope, and TfL are only putting extra buses on key routes. You never know TfL and ECC might co-operate and get Regal Busways to run the H1 on Monday between Epping Station and Loughton Station only. The people from Theydon Boyes can get the 541, Alex can the 541 take longer buses like the Volvo and Dennis/Wright Crusaders or Greenline Citaros. That does sound like a good idea, but I think it will be difficult to get the H1 operating over the strike...surely they would have to register this to VOSA. Also the 541 will not be able to take longer buses, as the route travels around an estate in Abridge. Ever since the route began in 2007, I have only seen Solos being used on the route. I doubt even during the strike that many people will use the service anyway. It will be interesting to see what will happen though if the line does not end up operating along this section on Monday.

If all else fails, I've gotta get 4 buses! Hmmmm, don't rely on the 366, whatever you do!!! Get the NLL to Stratford and jump the 262 to Beckton. It's a 5-10 minute walk from ASDA to the uni Bighat, there are other reasons for it

It could take 25 - 30 mins from Stratford, and my journey time is gonna be about 1 hour 20 mins altogether. If by any chance that the District or H&C lines are running decently, then I could go down one stop to East Ham and make my way down from there.

EDIT: Now that my local station, Manor House, is closed, it's gonna be absolute chaos! The Jubilee line's suspended between Waterloo and Stanmore as well, not looking good so far.

Could be worse, only 3 lines not running at all, Central, Circle, W&C all others have partial service, and Northern is only minor delays
.....that kills any chance of not going to work today

I go to sixth form in Woodford so had to get either of those routes. I got the 397, and it got absolutely packed, and there was very slow moving traffic all the way from Loughton up to Woodford, taking me an hour to get to college rather than 15 mins. Didn't really bother me...I got to miss part of my Maths lesson! ;D

It was odd seeing Turnpike Lane bus station at 07:45 this morning devoid of buses - all out stuck in the gridlock!
When I did manage to get on a 221 it was full at Turnpike Lane which is the first stop! Again it was odd not to pick up at Wood Green as we were '3 bells' from Turnpike.
Coming home at 17:30 seemed easier than the morning rush.

Well, must admit it was pretty strange going through Dagenham Heathway and seeing NO ONE waiting at the stop towards Romford!!! Even Romford itself was quiet at half past 6 this evening when it would normally be packed solid!! That has to be the best 174 journey I have EVER had ;D
