My alternate journey to uni was better than I expected. At Barking, a District line train arrived on platform 6 as soon as I touched down on platform 1. There was another train loitering on platform 3 but I assumed that it just arrived a few moments before. Having dashed to platform 6 in a flash, I didn't have to wait a single second so I made it to East Ham earlier than expected, but the ride on the 474 down to UEL wasn't that impressive with a dodgy a X-reg PVL plodding slowly along High Street South. ;D

I thought my journey yesterday would be hard work, but the Bakerloo and Victoria lines were running

They are in great condition compared to when they were at NX. When they were at NX they were nearly all over revving, now none of them overrev. Big applause is needed for SI mechanics i think for turning those buses around.

Just a shame they will be going now Still, the appearance on PVL69 at SI brings abit of variety, especially as it's on Voith ;D

Actually got caught behind a 474 doing about 15mph all the along High Street South!!!! Finally managed to pass him at the Fire Station where my 101 driver gave him a right look as if to say "idiot" ;D Oh, how was the traffic through East Ham?? I've never bothered going that way that early because of Barking Road

I've never bothered going that way that early because of Barking Road It's definately an X-reg one, it only roared a small hint compared to PVL276. It wasn't that bad when I last rode on it a few months ago on the 425, but I'm guessing that it's now just as bad as WN's VLWs. ;D The traffic in East Ham was quite clear at 9:30 in the morning, especially the short dash down an empty Ron Leighton Way.

Might surprise you to know that the majority of work done on si's deckers is done by rainham as si do not have the facilities to jack them up in the air. And on another note I took pvl69 back to rainham tonight as it's needed in the morning for something. What is wrong with those X reg PVLs at SI? I thought my journey yesterday would be hard work, but the Bakerloo and Victoria lines were running My journey yesterday wasn't so nice. I had to get to WH for 11 and no thanks to a signal failure at Bromley-By-Bow the District Line was heavily delayed - eventually got off at Upney at 10:50 ( ), got a bus to Barking and jumped on a c2c. Eventually reached WH at 11:30 - late for my appointment Took us 30 minutes to get from Dagenham East to Upney

I can imagine, it's just like Tottenham or Highbury on match days! Nah, at Tottenham they actually play football on match days! It's not that, it's the fact that the Lane hosts football fans on match days, not Corporate Investors ;D Cheers for the info there Chazaroo! Should've have guessed that BE did the maintenance on them as they're in fantastic condition, as were your DP's! Explains why I see them running back and forth along the A13 now though ;D
