It's been a while since I last posted in this thread. I did a couple of vids during my stay in Dublin and lucky enough I got a Volvo Olympian.
Here is a Volvo B9TL Tri-Axle bus on the 46A.
EV19 on the 32B

Thanks VJ
I did this last week as I was on the 27 and saw RV603 behind me as I was turning into Malahide Road, so I thought why not and go for it.
Note the bus has a dual door and passengers have to alight off the front door in order to exit.

Dublin bus is buying 80 Volvo powered deckers from Wrightbus. They will be dual door and seat 68, and have free wi-fi. (rather more seats than TfL spec, and TfL doesn't provide wi-fi) The Wrightbus press release describes them as GT model (not come across this designation before), but I think it is the Dublin class code They will be introduced on Dublin routes, 7, 151 , 4, 102, 33, 29a, 104, 1 in that order www.wrightbus.com/uploads_documents/MinisterVaradkarLaunches80Wrightbus.docwww.flickr.com/photos/darren_hall/7945593858/in/photostream

And they should paint it all in their original livery. (yes i consider Dublin as part of UK because i like united british isles)

(yes i consider Dublin as part of UK because i like united british isles) I doubt it would happen although Wrightbus is there major contact for Dublin Bus as well as ADL. They had only one hybrid which was WH1 aka 501 when it moved to EnsignBus and DB stated that they had a couple of issues with it as it wern't the ideal bus for them. They had great buses back in the early 90s with GAC Citybus (KC) and Bombardier (KD). The KDs were ironically fitted with a Detriot 6V71 and Alison 730 which is by far the best engine heard and to have be put in Europe. KCs on the other hand were fitted with a Cummins L10 with Vioth and IIRC there was a KC that had a Rolls Royce engine V10.

The 6 single deckers or should I say Midi-Deckers are WV which are based in Ringsend Garage and they are Volvo B6RLEs from the 2000 era.

Dublin Bus have nearly manage to withdraw mostly all of the RVs Volvo Olympians from Service with two or three which still remain in service until all the GTs have arrive. Now they've withdraw AV122 & AV125 have been withdrawn from Service among with the 6 more AVs from the 2000 era. EnsignBus are most likely to purchase these buses and maybe sell them or pop them into their fleet.
