The riot act has been read to LU bosses Peter Hendy & Mike Brown and they have been told in no uncertain terms that current safety & service standards are not acceptable. The warning was given by Borris Johnson after a a succession of reports about train breakdowns and stranded travellers being led to safety.
Hundreds of thousands of passengers suffered major disruption — with thousands being forced to walk along tracks in pitch-black tunnels.

Bakerloo and Metropolitan services. Jubilee line users — among the worst-hit this week — face more misery because drivers refuse to use a new £600 million signalling system on safety grounds.
Howard Collins, LU's chief operating officer, denied “systemic failures” are to blame for the worst services in a decade

Thank god for the 101, 262 and 474 ;D I got caught up in the Jubilee Line chaos on Monday as I went to Canary Wharf to meet a friend from work. We ended up taking a D3 to Whitechapel, then District Line to Monument and then Northern Line to Tooting Bec before being dropped back to his house. Usually, we take Jubilee Line to London Bridge and then train to Streatham Station. Took an extra hour than usual.

Thank god for the 101, 262 and 474 ;D I'm glad that I've used my usual alternative route via the Overground on that day. There were also severe delays the Victoria line on Wednesday which one of its new trains 'broke down' at Finsbury Park (where I usually change). It happened about half an hour before I arrived. Yet, there weren't any obvious signs of delays as things went pretty smoothly while making my way down to KXSP. I presume that the sensitive door edges on the new trains were the reason why it happened yet AGAIN.

Not sure what the exact problem but you right as it was to do with the new rolling stock, yet Bob Crow and his feckless union chums won't mention this and instead are scare mongering people

But hey that's just my opinion .

I mean, for a tube train, they've seem to be kept in a reasonable condition. At least the 1992 stock is still around ;D

Also, I don't see many complaints about the 357's on c2c, although I do remember my dad saying that NatEx East Anglia's 170's are a pile of s**t to drive ;D

They are impeccable I must admit.

Loads of problems on the tube last night, form memory, Central, Jubbly and Vitoria lines were suffering big time, lost count of the amount of ticket acceptance calls we got from centrecomm!

Must be because of the transvestite who was pushed under a Piccadilly Line train at King's Cross by a woman. Sadly, the person died.

The Piccadilly line was suspended between Hyde Park Corner and Arnos Grove, plus the incident took place at around 6:30pm. I had to take the risky route home via Tottenham as a result!

That incident happened on Monday evening. Egg was referring to Tuesday unless I'm mistaken (am I correct Egg?)
