Neither of these pair have been used since 7th, so might have gone now Next up will be : SP 40165-40175 are still helping out at Hounslow Heath SP 40176-40190 are still helping out at Fulwell Looks like 2 of them already out of use Both should be getting VHs (currently on 49 and 125) soon That will leave 40041-56 for H32 (until end of contract in March 2023) 40191-40206 for H98 (likely to get buses from 142 & 642, until end of contract) SP40056 has been withdrawn and was at FW anyway IIRC. Not all of SP40041-55 are for the H32 and indeed a few seem to move back and forth between AV & WK Allocations between AV and WK appear pretty fluid so plenty of swapping on a weekly basis.

IF RATP had managed to retain the 139, then would X be a better garage to run the route from rather than BT?

Suspect it would have moved to X garage as the presence of a midroute changeover point with meal facilities as well as a quick tube link would make it cheaper to operate as they could get more out of the duties

Only opens Mondays to Fridays as did the garage until recently.

Oh yes undoubtedly better for the drivers but likely not for the accountants I am not not sure it makes much difference between X and BT. In practise I suspect in time it would have moved from BT to X, but I say that because X has plenty of space whilst additional space was needed at BT (not sure if it still is).

Hmm I wonder if the 148 will take the LTs spare from the 12 or keep some of the BCEs destined for 49 for its extension to Dulwich.

I would have thought the 49 stays roughly what it is now given the extension on its northern end.

East Acton to White City is a hell of a lot shorter than South Ken to Clapham Jcn.

I’m sensing a win of a new contract using these .
