It was absolutely fine until tfl reduced its pvr. It’s a really busy route. I don’t think TfL have been particularly fair in West London with frequency cuts when they weren’t justified at all. I think there have been a lot of places where there’ve been unjustified frequency cuts tbh, not just the west. I think the east has been more unfairly targeted personally. I could argue the south given we have the least amount of tube coverage to begin with and our rail network has also been hit by similar cuts, particularly Southern & SWR

VH45124 has returned from refurbishment to FW. No logos or garage codes on the vehicle so I’m not sure where it’ll end up.

I’ve been hearing from the Yahoo that RATP may be taking over the 226 from January 2022 and not October 2022.

They missed the takeover date if its January 2022!! 😂 I haven’t seen anything official yet but I believe it’s because of the ongoing staffing issue at RATP that they cannot take up the 226 next month. The new 226 takeover date should coincide with 142/642 takeover on 7/1/23 which goes the other way.

If that means another few months of DE16xx working (photographically speaking) then 👍

Didn’t something similar happen a year or two back where one change was delayed couple of months to coincide with a change going other way, forgotten the routes that it happened too.

Wasn’t that the 235? The 235 was rumoured to be delayed to coincide with the 111, but that didn't go through in the end. RATP gained the route as per schedule, but proceeded to be blighted with staffing issues in the first few months.

Mutually beneficial for both companies, avoids RATP starting badly like Abellio have with the 111.

Going off topic a similar situation with Go ahead and Arriva happened in 2017 with the 76 and 259 That was because the LTs for the 76 were due to arrive later than the proposed date which was 28th January 2017 so was brought to the same date as the 259 which was the 25th March. That wasn't fully the case, the 76s LTs were actually on time but they had to be deployed on the EL2 and EL3 to allow the 101 to have buses. Once that was all done the ELTs LTs arrived and the 76 could take its own LTs back.
