a bit of a wild shot but does anyone know why there was a plaxton president and gemini 1 to non-london specification at hammersmith with 9 led blinds on the 1st of March 2022. I found it on my camera roll and I can attach the photos

I took many photos in the 2010s of all sorts of weird and wonderful buses, running around my area as extras when the tube or DLR was down. The extras didn't usually have fare collection equipment or Oyster Card readers so were free to ride.

I have to say the VDWs are very impressive vehicles. Even at their advanced age, they are such rapid performers, I can see why RATP have decided to keep them despite them being non standard in their fleet. Usually I find B9TLs to be quite sluggish but these VDWs are exceptional.

Its actually surprising that RATP didn't get the B9TL, considering they had the G1s and East Lancs Myllennium Vyking in B7TL, as well as G3s in the B5LH.
