Has anyone seen the countdown Clocks in Birmingham? That's what you call a real countdown display. Can't say I have, then again I've not been Birmingham ;D Mate, go see the real time displays at bus stops in Brighton & Crawley, very accurate. Metrobus even has a text service letting you know when exactly your bus will be at the stop. I hope London introduce this sort of technology as it will fit perfect alongside I-Bus.

The only other place I've seen Countdown Clocks are at Southend On Sea (at every bus stop) but I haven't really had a chance to stop and look at them.

If that's the case in London then I'm quite surprised how well buses stay on timetable.

They are.. Along with the online countdown. Must be hidden on the site then as I couldn't find either. And countdown isn't accurate so still not up to the level of real time systems That's because it's still in BETA. www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/projectsandschemes/11560.aspx?Found it useful on my phone whilst out the other day although once when I tried it said it wasn't available for the stop I was at.

I'm guessing so, I did see that image but I want to see it on a bus stop.

Whatever happened to the flatter design that they were planning for the ELT bus stops?

There one at Streatham Station stop. an old style one has recently been installed at Sutton Police Station stop. Very long overdue for a stop served by over 13 routes and very welcome. Maybe it came out of one of the stops that have had new ones installed.

What annoys me about them is that it doesn't show up buses that are starting service from that bus stop. Like at Ilford Hainault Street & Barking Station for example.
